    Yep...

There are plenty of boards geared towards pro-street and street rods that we can enjoy the way a traditional hot rod is in the eyes of the HAMB. That sure as hell doesn't include huge rear tires... Nobody is saying they don't have the right to do what they want, just that it's off topic here.

[I'm not enough of a historian to remember which one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence said it, but it's applicable here. "If we don't all hang together, most ***uredly we shall all hang together".
And the same applies to all the different factions of car enthusiasts.

I believe the quote should read, "If we don't all hang together, most ***uredly we shall all hang seperately"

  3. yeah it looks good, but not at all pratical for everyday use...i'm running disc brakes up front..ya i know it's not traditional, but i plan on driving this car alot,,,and long distance..doing front disc is a saftey thing for me....been lloking at the new style spoked rims built for use with front brakes...for the front.... http://www.etwheels.com/et/g***er.html#
    for the rear http://www.etwheels.com/et/cl***ic5.html
or these for the rear http://www.etwheels.com/et/fueler.html
just having a hard time deciding.............

  4. I've wondered how well DOT legal drag radials would handle and last on the road in a light car. Just thinkin'.

I have a pair of vintage N50-15's. The biggest tire you could get before all those special-design drag tires started happening.

I know it's a radial but the same size as the old L-60, it's a 275/60/15 on an 8.5 rim (28 tall and 11 wide)

I agree with most here that an open wheel car looks funky with big tires.
some T's look ok with them.
some guys ran sprint car tires on the street before the big DOT ones were available. they had tread and at least looked legal.
bias plys are pretty bumpy compared to radials unless you drive it every day. reminds me of riding the schoolbus.

the firestone dragsters from coker would look correct on a topolino.IMO
I like the 10 spokes too. yea anglia spindle 12 spokes are correct but WGAF. its your car and you are the one who has to enjoy it.

  12. Thank you sir! That's why I'm asking instead of spending or telling! I'm looking at tire sizes too.
    Good luck TK!

You might think about fat, not necessarily wide, Not BIG *** but big enough for me. These are Firestone (Coker) 650x20 bias ply on rear, fronts are Excelsior (Coker) 500x20 bias ply.
