I've read about cheap one-day Tijuana upholstery jobs, and from the pics, they don't look bad. Do they also do paint jobs south of the border, or are those reserved for the witness protection program?
I have a friend that got his early thities REO painted in TJ a few years ago, and it looked pretty good for about 8 months. Then it started to look bad. Then eventually it looked real bad.
Yep. Ya gotta get connected to get good work. But man, the border town's are becoming more violent lately.
Tijuana is a bit far from PA. I doubt the savings will make it worth while unless you combine it with a couple of the other known local attractions.
yes sir I will take the super gringo special paint job, a side of tucknroll upholstery, and throw in a donkey show for dessert
Depends what you are after. You don't have to drive as far south. There is this guy in the San Fernando valley who can do a sweet 20 footer paint job for just a few six-packs.
all baloney aside, you can get a super quality job in TJ...but you have to know somebody. my buddy restores mustangs. his last one sold for 50k he had it done from bare metal in TJ for about 3k. he had his personal car done there to. very nice, mirror smooth black. same thing. BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW SOMEONE>>>> its more than just getting paint. you gotta get the car there and back. getting in aint no thing. getting back may be.
197-48 my brother did paint jobs in San Diego that would qualify as TJ jobs. $15 complete paint job! Wash the car with paint thinner, shoot it with suplus paint ,and deliver it to customer. Did a lot of used car lot jobs. $15 total price. LOL TraderJack
