Great Work! With art you get rich, with fabrication you get paid.

I think it pretty impressive. On a side note though any shop that has Led Zeplin blaring in the background is KICK ASS!! Rock on!

Great fabrication skills .But I do not consider this art unless you designed the brackets and he was aprenticing under you to learn your style .Not Art but very good fabrication work .My 2 cents
I make a living sculpting fabricating and do cars for a hobby .We attach the word art to add importance The Art of blah blah . www.metalworksdfw.com

Make another set, sexy and swoopy like the topside of the car, and everyone will call it art.

Sorry but it's fabrication. Good fabrication but still fabrication.

If he knocked it out in no time flat and made it seem easy, then that is the art, if it existed.

I love nothing as much as watching a true tradesmen do his/her craft so well that it actually looks easy. To me, that is art.

The way Gambino chops look is art. They take on a new shape that is pleasing to the eye. Body mounts that are "reproductions" do not hold the same art value IMO.

Don't get me wrong- I love the stuff you do but Nefu has recreated a previously created part.

P.S. Zep in the shop is cool. Could have/should have been louder. Ha ha.

    What He said!!!

I know the question was posed as a rhetorical one, however, this kid combines art with fabrication so the answer is "Yes!"... and that's cool in my book!

nice work for sure... considering there are so many people in this hobby who would make those brackets from scrap angle iron and rebar and put bondo-glass over it I'd call it art.

There is definitely some art involved in all kinds of metal work. Every thing I make on the mill or lathe first has to be rite and it has to look good too.
A lot of people can make things, but with out being part artist it usually looks second rate.

OK now I'm scared. I'm just getting into a 49 Sedanette project. I know if I have to make a set it wouldn't come out half as nice. Thats fucking art to me Bro! He didn't happen to fab up an extra pair did he?

I'm very impressed with the fab/art work. Looks bette than some that have been doing it for years.

The "cubes" he's using for a table are a great idea! Stackable for different height work surface. 4 could be a frame worktable. Unlimited uses. very good idea.

I'm thinkin I should send my mounts back Alex for that superkickass shine job. They Look Great. Art, well they can be if you cut some eyes and a mouth with some sharp teeth and then you will have a nice set of easter island Tiki wall plaques. That just my O-PIN-YHAWN...........Happy 2009

I don't know if it's art or fabrication, but it sure is poor spelling.

Looks good, if that is his first try, you can tell he has the idea and thats all it takes. What amazes me is how many will try to tell you how to do something, how many decades longer they've done it and how they'll show you how but you give the right kid the same job, "the basics" and you end up with something that not only looks better but fits in less time than the expert's memory takes to kick in. Now he just needs his own project:D.
