With those pics it's really easy to pick out the differences between the Canadian and the U.S models. It seems the Canadian Pontiacs got the Chevrolet rear end, and the front fenders on the Canadian cars are not perfectly round. Intersting, thanks for helping me clarify a few things...

Thanks Jim, some of it fits in here and some of it doesn't. I lurked around here picking up ideas for quite a bit before deciding what I wanted to do with it. Don't be afraid to listen to other's opinion's, but at the end of the day build what YOU want. You're the one drivin' it... :D:cool:

Right now it's got a Racepump, on an SBC, on it for frame clearance, but I have big problems during hot summer days with vaporlocking, even with a return line run. It's a good concept for a pump, I just hate it when the car died in slow moving traffic on me. It's getting an electric from Aeromotive come springtime.

Are you thinking of a V8 swap and such?

getting the rad rebuilt as we speak. Broke off a waterneck bolt in the head! Luckilly it was sticking up and the ol weld a nut to it trick worked! Now making plug wires, and thinking 12v conversion with a GM 10si alt. Any tips?

Great ride, man. I have had mine for over 20 years. Started out as a 4 door Chieftain. Now a '50 Streamliner with fully bagged '51 frame, a 4 link and AirPod, Lincoln 8.8 rear with disc brakes, swapped bodies, ditched the 268 L head and went with a 455 with Ram Air III heads, TH400, Painless wiring, and on and on.
I have done a 12V conversion and it's not too bad. Lots of misnomers out there about it and I can help set things straight. Let me know if you have yet to do it. I would be glad to share any experience if you need it. Would love line on some '50 grille parts if you have info. Happy New year! Later,
