What kind of blower is this?

It looks to me like a 671, but I don't see the flange on the bottom. It doesn't look a V style blower, my understanding is those are worthless. This is the only pic I have. I have requested more from the seller, but haven't gotten them.

Is it worth getting?

Those rotors MAY be of value to a blower builder like Gary Dyer. He pays $125.00 per pair for 8V71 rotors... not sure with these.

 

No one makes any parts for them. I dont remember their name, but I bought a bunch of them about 10 years ago, only to find out, no parts interchange and nothing aftermarket works.

 

That is a 8 v 53 detroit diesel blower

 

Looks to me like a 53-series with the through-bolt attachment and straight rotors.

I'm thinking 6V53?

 

Too bad, that caseing wiuld be ideal for a potvin style crank driven blower!

It's a wall hanger for sure.
