Short answers......no, none, Carter strip kit 10-109.

Longer answer.........aftermarket replacement unit, not original equipment. Have worked on carbs since 1960 and have never seen one. Don't know where the 365 CFM came from, but if Carter published CFM on this carburetor, I have not seen it. As to tuning, the strip kit (Carter number 10-109) contains a usable selection of both jets and metering rods, as well as high-flow fuel valves. If you have a radical cam (idle vacuum below 13 inch Hg) you might also need to change vacuum piston spring.

Jon... Any aquivelent in a small CFM?
I'm looking at my 61 tempest 4banger and it has the 4v intake....
    I also have a 4v for a unrelated 2.3L Pinto motor...
I'm looking to get away from the Holley's since I'm always having to replace gaskets and power valves ect... Not something I want my Daughter to drive with these type of issues.

Frank, the original Tempest 4 cylinder/4 barrel was a very small Rochester. These are rare (but available) and expensive.

The SD Tempest used a Carter 625 CFM AFB (race only).

When I bought my 63 Tempest 4/4 it came with the SD race carb. It was a dog at low RPM.

I replaced the 625 CFM with a Carter 9400s (400 CFM) AFB. I know I didn't change the rods; and I don't recall changing the jets; but this change REALLY perked up the car on the street. I didn't try one of the Rochesters, but they were in the same CFM range as the Carter.

Both the Carter AFB and the Rochester 4-G are extremely reliable. And while the AFB (originals, never the clones) is about my third favorite street carb of all, the 4-G is probably slightly more reliable.

The Carter AFB is my choice. But I never seen one as small as 400 CFM.
The Rochester 4-G models look more compact than the AFB...
This would be good for me.

    Where to look?

It appears that carter came out with this in 1963 as a wcfb replacement carb for a 1955 chevy with a 265. You can get a rebuild kit from www.carburetor.ca/. Type in search using your carb # and it will take you to the correct page. I hope this helps.

Frank, for "street" 4 barrels, ***uming one of the proper CFM/configuration is available for the engine in question:

    (1) Carter TQ
    (2) Rochester/Carter Q-Jet
    (3) Carter AFB (originals only, no clones)
    (4) (In alphabetic order) Carter WCFB/Rochester 4-G/Stromberg 4-A

Racing is much more specialized, and depends on straight-line, "left only" corners, road race, etc. For straight-line, probably the above list for the top 3. Making AFB's go around corners requires a slight modification. Making TQ's and/or Q-Jets go around corners, requires a little more serious modification. And I am aware that many will have Holleys on the top of all of their lists. For those who like Holleys, I have no quarrels. Holleys just don't like me!

This was a replacement carb for the 2351s, and maybe others. Was not original carb .

In the for what its worth category, the 3769s (WCFB) was superceded by the 9400s (AFB).
