Not so much, we don't even get ours from Napa. I got wind of this stuff and wanted to p*** the word along to the rest of everyone who might find it useful.

I would be more interested in this stuff in a coil....like was stated.....

Has anyone used this stuff since the post was created? Is it good stuff? Do you feel comfortable enough to use it with a single master?

Used it on my 51 works like a dream.... Yes it is a odd color... Most every auto parts store has it now.

This is great news, I was dreading the idea of doing new brake lines on my car; however they need to be done.

My local AutoZone is selling something that might be the same stuff. It comes in straight lengths, has the dark green (almost black) coating, and it's very soft and easy to bend.

I did the brake line over the rear axle in my suburban with it, and had to take a couple attempts at it because when I went to flare the end, the flare crushed... first time in years I'd made a flare and it didn't turn out right. Happened on a second flare, too.

Then about a month later I went to help a friend run new lines on his Fox-body Mustang, and had the same problem making the flares. One of them actually pulled right off the end of the tube. It's a problem I've never had with steel lines.

Not sure if it's the same stuff as is being discussed here, but it was available at Advance Auto and Autozone. The stuff I used is very easy to bend...almost soft. But I've got good benders, so my problem was not making the crisp tight bends, it was that the line would bend while I was trying to fit it into place--not necessarily at the bend I made, but along the long straight runs. I didn't like the results... but then I get a hard-on when I see nice, professionally bent bright brake and fuel lines.

    I didn't like it.

In the U.K. we have Kunifer, Its an alloy of Copper & Nickel, Volvo use it on their production cars. The easiest stuff to bend and flare i've ever seen.

And to think. I spent all that money on braided steel brake lines... Guess I'm going to reconsider.

I've only ever seen it in 25ft rolls, It bends so easy i don't even use a bender but just bend it round my index finger. Never had a bad flare with it either.

You shouldn't use too much braided either as although it stays constant in section it grows a fair bit in length, Think of it as a water hose pipe.

I went to our local NAPA just before Christmas to buy the Kunifer (90/10, Copper / Nickel) brake line, but the counter guy said they don't sell it any longer, due to the price. He told me a 25' roll would cost around $150, while a 25' of coiled steel cost $25.00.

Can't speak for the U.S. but in the U.K. its £17 ($25) per 25ft coil, i think he's overcharging !!! If i posted a roll over to ya it wouldn't be that expensive.

    Gentlemen,
I work for the company that manufactures the dark green colored hand bendable brake lines. Our company is called AGS Company in Muskegon MI and the product that you are referring to is called Poly Armour. This product is the ONLY one on the market that has a polyvinylflourine coating and has 30X the corrosion resistance that standard steel line has. It is easily bent by hand in small radiuses, as well as easily flared with readily available tools. It's available in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" for brakes, transmission, fuel, and any other hydraulic, air, or fluid transfer lines on a vehicle. Check out our website at www.agscompany.com and take a look for yourself.
If I can answer any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

    Best regards,
    John Peirce

    Gentlemen,

Much thanks to Johnny1290 for posting our product availability and customers where you can find our product. We cover 95% of the aftermarket steel brake lines in the USA. Not all of the customers listed handle the Poly Armour, but our double zinc coated brake lines are equally as easy to bend and flare, but they don't have the green PVF coating. AGS double zinc coated brake lines have 10X the corrosion resistance of standard steel lines, and are available at almost all locations of the list that Johnny posted. They are available in all SAE (domestic) and also in British, European, and Japanese fitments. We also offer 8" adapter lines with different sized fittings on each end to accomodate almost every size and style of master cylinder or proportioning valve.
Lastly, most of you have been around long enough to know about our chemical and lubricant products. We are the manufacturer of Sil-Glyde Brake Lubricant-#1 in the US, Door-Ease door lubricant stick-our first product since 1937, Lock-Ease graphited lock lubricant fluid, Lith-Ease white lithium grease, Store it-Start it fuel/vehicle storage treatment-the ONLY treatment with octane booster to keep your fuel fresh, as well as many others.

Thanks again to Johnny, and please don't hesitate to contact us at www.agscompany.com if we can be of any ***istance.

    Best regards,
    John Peirce

Oh, and by the way. The videos on our website under the Education tab, are, in fact, me. Just a small bit of my 15 minutes of fame. I'm not nearly that stoic in real life, but hey, it's what I had to do.)

    Thanks again,
