  3. I just got out of the Navy on New Years eve and am aspiring to be a fireman. I would love to have a small shop on the side to build cars the way I WANT and if some one with a lot of money likes the car I built cool if not just as cool. I too have seen a ton of friends lose interest is hot rods or cars in general because they made it there job. Do what makes you cup full. I am scared shitless to not have a job in this economy but there is noting better then knowing i will not be away from my wife and family for month and months on end been there done that....

I deliver fiberglass parts to the RV industry. Doesn't pay much, but it's a pretty good job. I just drive around all day and wait for the receivers to unload my truck. Although it sucks when it rains!

  16. Well I'm right at 145 or so says MENSA, and I finally just went into business for myself. Thought it better than inflicting myself on others............then God had a little talk with me and sent me to Africa. Now I just take groups to Mexico and build. The pay here is not too good, but what a retirement plan!

Retired from the US Navy and doing consulting work to the US Government.

Two keys with a job: 1. what are you good at? and 2. what do you like to do? You'll be much better off finding a job that fits both categories than only one (or even worse, neither). If you have to pick one, pick one that you're good at. This tends to offer more job security in the long run.

Went to school to become an Architect / Urban Planner, ended up becoming a Print Designer. I am currently the Senior Designer/Art Director for a Publishing Company that puts out Skin Art Magazine as well as several others.

Still have my education in Architecture, but I feel like I have really found my place in Print design and hope to stick with it.

Nobody told me that we're supposed to actually DO SOMETHING for a living - did I miss a memo?
