You wont know for sure until you cut the tunnel out. I'd say you want at least three inches of clearence between the floor and the drive shaft...

Depending on where and how bad it's rubbing might be a lot cheaper and less aggravation to install a smaller diameter drive shaft.....

    every car will be different.

I think I'd cut the tunnel out, undo the rear from the springs and drop the ch***is down on it if that is how low you want to be eventually. then build the tunnel to fit at maximum drop.

I will try to get some pix of my buddy's 53 I did. It was already tunneled when I got hold of it, but it only had a baby C-notch. Just a word of advice with the small "C"..... It WILL buckle your quarter panels if your drive it and it is bottoming out. We had to go through and finish out the quarters AGAIN after we finished notching it. I think there was a body mount right there where the notch goes.....

The thing lays frame on 17" Diamondback whitewalls. I had to rework the wheelwells all the way up to the pockets for the windows. Also, bent the 4-link to clear the floor, rather than hacking the floor out. I HATE that ****!!!
