I need to get some brake hoses made for my 51 Chevy that I am putting disc brakes on. I know the length, and I know the fittings that I need. Is there anywhere near Huntington Beach, Ca that I can get some made? I need them to have the frame fitting on one end, and a Banjo fitting on the other end. I also need the banjo bolts. Also, what should I expect to pay for them? I am not if I should go steel braided or not, so what should I expect to pay either way?
I am in Phoenix AZ, just had some made for my 32 pickup. It cost me $90 for a set. But made them while I waited.
You might give these guys a ring? Mesa Hose And Supply 670 W. 17th, Unit G5 Costa Mesa, CA 92627 Tel: (949) 645-2661
You can also go to TMR in Orange, they are right around the corner from my shop. Good prices and great customer service! Jimmy White
Lucky you! We just go to the CarQuest or O'Reilly's parts house, get the Brake Parts Illustrated catalog, find the hose with ends we need and buy them from there. There is a stock hose which can be used for almost every custom or conversion application.
I would think there would be an OEM hose out there that would meet your needs. Try a good parts house with a knowledgable parts man. He might be able to pull what you need of the shelf.
Figuring this might be an important item and not knowing a lot about hoses but wanting them to be in full view, I just ordered braided stainless ones from Classic Tube. All was perfect and quickly shipped.

i just got an OEM hose from the local parts store when I put discs on the 54. They should have something that will work for you without having to custom order anything.
Look at it this way if you ever need one on the road do you want to have to find a place to have one made? Or do you want to be able to walk into a parts store and buy one off the shelf? I opted for off the shelf. If you go to a friendly parts store and ask to look at a brake parts book there is a section that has a description that includes type of ends plus length of all hoses. You just find what will work and it's OE application, that way no problem replacing it in the future
most of the suppliers of aftermarket brake kits use as much oem parts as are available. why because custom parts cut into their profits and keep pricing low enough to sell their products.
Got 2 steel braided hoses made for $50 at mesa hose. Pus they did it while I waited in about 10 minutes. They needed to be longer than a stock hose because the car is bagged and they arent long enough.
