Event Coverage 2009 Swap meet schedules for OK,TX,KS?

I have a few dates, but was wondering if anyone has a link for a swap meet schedule for the OK,TX, KS,MO etc area.

Taillightking.com has mostly Texas swap meets. Any other sites that you know of?

Wichita Sunflower Swap meet is Feb. 6-7.

 

Lincoln, NE is Sunday march 8th at State Fairgrounds. Last one at this location.

 

I use mr. taillight king's list as well...don't know of any others

 

Chickasha, OK Pre War meet is March 19-21.

 

NSRA OK City (including small swap meet) is April 3-5.

 

The big swap meet in Lawrence, KS is May 1 to May 3. That meet is HUGE! Worth the trip.

I'll be heading to sunflower in Feb. I always try to make it. It's usually pretty good.

 

A little of everything. Lawrence Region Antique Automobile Club of America sponsors the show. There are usually around 500 vendors from California to Florida that come out. Anyway, you'll find stuff there from 1919 all the way up to muscle car stuff. They usually have some good commercial vendors, too. I've seen Coker, Lokar, Night Prowlers, Kool Rides and a ton of others out there. I'm going to take a wild stab at saying it's about 30-40 acres of car goodies. I've bought everything there from '29 ford headlight buckets to flipper hubcaps. If I can afford it, I may go up there this year. I used to live in Lawrence, but now I'm 700 miles away, so it's a little tough to make the drive.

Thanks, I actually found out that we have a pass car window reg. BTW, if you have one and it rolls up but comes up short about 3/8" and will roll all the way down except 1/2". You have the wrong regulators.

Lawrence swap meet not as good as the others in my opinion. Not much older stuff. Just m opinion. I still go most every year.

Does anyone have the date of the Ducan swapmeet, I hope it takes off, it has the potental to be a good meet but so far has fallen short, we make a road trip out of it, have seen most of Oklahoma ,Texas, kansas, in conjuction with swap meets, me and my buddies try to take different roads and go threw small towns (200-500) miles on a saturday, we've seen some neat stuff and had many laughs, it does'nt take much to amuse the simple minded. Ft. Worth this weekend, Wicthita the next and Decatur coming up, it amoust makes winter bareable.

 

I have heard that it is pretty decent. I'd like to make that one as well.

Is the Witicha swap meet a big show? I'm curiuos if its a good one to hit; I'm about 3 hours away and thinking about driving up?? Thanks, Shane

 

Yes it is, I have been driving up for years from OKC.

 

I've been going to the Wichita meet for I think about 20 years. It's a sold out meet...

 

They had a pair of La France' headlights there one year that someone bought EARLY in the morning. And rumor has it he could not look the guy in the eye while paying for them.

It is a pretty good swap meet and YES you will find some stuff that you will never see in the mid west that was drug out of a barn. Also, it WILL rain.

A bit of advise, get a space on the backside where the cars drive in. Last year someone bought a couple of 32' truck cabs and random other stuff from the street as the cars pulled in for a song.
