Went to the farm this Christmas to check on my stuff, and someone had helped themselves to my 51 Buick 2 door sedan. I don't know exactly when it was taken, could've been gone for several months. The car is a light blue with medium to dark blue wheels, VERY complete, 48k miles, stick, radio, seats, good gl***, all original. It is a Special, (3-holer), with very little trim. The p***enger floor was weak, there was a slight amount of damage on the p***. rear fender bulge and stainless, as I recall. I don't remember much else, basically bought it and stashed it for later. I have the ***le, so the s***-I mean seller will only be able to lie and offer a bill of sale. Car was stolen from our place at May, Texas. Anyone around the area please keep your ears open. I will pay a (small, I hate to say) reward for info and recovery. Will post this when swap meet season rolls around. It maybe crushed and gone forever, but this is worth a shot. Thanks, Hambers.

With that vin showing up on recent law enforcement 'stolen list', it's likely that car might be recovered for you. Let's hope so.

Best scenario; They fix all the floorboards, restore the car, then go to register it and ......VIOLA!, you get your car back!

Yeah, if you haven't already called the cops, call them now. It'll go on the stolen vehicles registry, and you might get it back.

I went to west Texas over Christmas and I think I saw a similiar car at a used car dealers lot on I20 in Cisco. Don't know the name of the place, but it had numerous old cars and pickups. Looked like it might have been an old drive in type place like a dairy queen because there is an awning on one side. Might get someone to check it out. Cisco is not far from May.

Keep your eyes on Craigslist around Texas. Some guys who steal stuff sell it on there in cities that are far away (but not too far). I'll keep my eyes on Austin for ya. Check Dallas and San Antonio, too. I see 'bill of sale' cars on there all the time.

Hate to agree, but I'll bet that is right on the money. An old battleship like that would have brought in around $400 this past summer- & crushing something that old is easy compared to hauling in a late model w/ no ***le. I watch the Corpus & Victoria Craigslist, so I'll keep an eye out for it, too, in the event someone held on to it.

Do you happen to have a pic of it?

Shame you have to pay any reward for your own car. If it hasn't been crushed someone will hopefully see it. Hope you get it back.

Might not have been a roadster or 55 Chevy, but still a cool car. Hope your story has a happy ending. Keep us posted..........

Good luck with your search (can it be law that if you catch the *******s you're allowed to drag them behind the car for 20 miles or so?)
