Anyone in upstate NY coming down to Tx have room to bring a '32 chevy coupe body that's in pieces? Bought it a year ago and haven't been able to get up that way. I know it looks sad, but I need the parts for another one. Thanks, Joe.
When I saw the header, I thought you were referring to your mother-in-law. In which case, I would have suggested the roof rack on a station wagon or mini-van. Wrap tightly in an old rug, to keep her from drying out too much, and use a whole lot of rope and bungees. It's cold enough flies won't be a problem. Good luck, and glad I could make you laugh...........
If you don't find a ride for it on the HAMB, you could Greyhound it in a few parcels; cowl, doors, quarters, since it's already mostly smaller flat pieces. Looks like it might even save as an entire body with some serious work vs. parting it out.
It's in Morris, NY. and if it were my mother-in-law, I wouldn't be trying to get it down here. Anyway, I've got a roadster that I bought here on the HAMB and it's not exactly what I wanted, so I may try to save this coupe body??? I'm trying to redo my chevy I had in high school in 1966. All I got left is a polaroid picture. I sold it when I got back from Army basic for some beer money and kicked my self in the a$$ since. I've picked up a 303 olds with a 3 duece backed up by a 3 sp toploader in Ohio, which is what i had back then. My roadster in '66 303 olds I picked up This is what I bought. Had some kind of fibergl*** kit to make it a roadster. Maybe someone has seen something like this before. I need to see both bodies together to see if I'm going to try to re-do the roadster or just go with the '32 5 window.
Joe, I'll ask my brother. He's up in Boston doing a pipefitting job and will be headed back to Corpus Christi in about 2 months I believe. Jeremy
Hey Jeremy, good to hear from you. It should all come apart and should fit in back of a PU. Be more than glad to spot him some cash!!! But I need to know so I won't make plans with some one else. Thanks, Joe.
Joe, I just called him. He just bought a new 5th wheel travel trailer to live in while he's up there, so he can't really put anything in the bed of the truck. The trailer is a toy hauler, but he's got his Buell Lightning and his kids toys filling up the compartment because his wife and 3 kiddos are with him. He said if you can't find anyone to relay it to you, he might be able to find room for the pieces throughout the trailer on his way home in 2 months.
