The site looks great....keep on it...it'll be one of the best bike sites going...How about an "in progress" area to keep the builders motivated? hatch
Tony...don't know if you have seen this one...I actually found a "barn fresh" bike last fall....1949 45 cube. Got it up and runnin...sold it to finance the triumph pile of projects. Hated to see it go...big time.
I'm going to come to your home and strangle you Hatch. God! I'd have loved to gotten a hold of that thing. 45's rule. You gotta' do what you gotta' do though. I have visions of a bobbed military issue 45, but I'm getting waaaay out ahead of myself. Regarding an in progress area: Start sending me some pic.'s and I'll make it happen. found a "barn fresh" bike last fall....1949 45 cube. Hey Tony great site. Looks like your taste in bikes is like mine. I love that japgoosestyle! HA HA!! Do you know if Kruger has A web site. his new bike is sick!! This is the start of my new project.
Tony....the PROFIT from the forty five bought me six triumphs(baskets to rollers) and one BSA....the 45 was done in my eyes...perfect...nothing left to do. One problem with it was that it ran and rode, but was worn out everywhere, and I couldn't see putting the money in it and ending up with a restored bike....sure woulda made a great fairground cruiser though.
ONe more....can you say "Patina"????....I got my first bike in 1966...and this is the first "barn find" for me..
Thanks for the compliment. Krugger's site is http://www.krugger.net Love that new bike of his as well...but I wish he would have done it old Harley Olive like he had originally intended to. Gl***guy that **** is ****in ureal, that is every greasers dream. A sweet *** kustom and then a killer chop in tow.
Thanks for the update. Your site is in "My favorites". The Decker Crocker is unbelievable, and I hope to see it in person some day.
How hard is it to get parts for those Beezers? I just bought a motor of a guy for 20 bucks. It has a hole about as big as my thumb in one of the cases, a cracked side cover, and only one carb, but hell, I figure the damn valve cover has to be worth that much. Here's a pic.
[ QUOTE ] One more...my 1970 BSA almost ready..... [/ QUOTE ] hatch, that is a good looking bike. I don't know anything about BSAs. what size motor? what does a bike like that go for $?
It's a 650 cc ...single carb. And what does it go for??....kinda hard to say. Most everything that I see with the proper look..stance, paint, ready to roll will bring 3500 and up.
That triumph isn't running yet, the BSA will be the first one on the road....sure hope it's not snowing too soon!!!damn michigan weather....we haven't had much of a summer in my town.
This hasn't been a traditional Iowa summer either. More like a really long spring... They are calling for a mild winter. I knew there'd be reprocussions for those el nino/la nina summers.......
k-member me and a friend got a stash of bsa parts and im redoing one now when you get to the point where you need any just hit me with a pm
