not sure if these are anyones or what the story is cant remember all of them but I took some pics of some as we walked through....there are thorn bushes everywhere I lost alot of blood and ruined a good pair of jeans, only seen about 25% of what was out there.....there was a 47 p/u that someone cut the bed off but was all there from the cab up.....lots of 50's chevys and evan a mustang.....were going to regroup and bring something to cut a path with and im going to bring a camera with me...here is what the cell caught

I did notice on the corner of the fence line some of the cars looked like they were in a wild fire.....how does this effect the structure of the vehicle....looked inside a 40's coupe and vereything was there but the gauges and all rubber and material was melted......metal looked fine though.....will be posting more as soon as I heal from this trip out there

Before you go cutting a path on someones property I would do a little research and find out who owns it and the cars. You might get lucky and they will tell you you can have them.

cool pics - is it on state land or is it private property? Someone must own the land.

That is really cool ! finding all that history in no mans land ! If you go to the county records , they will tell you who owns the land and then you can go from there !

I'd be interested to know where this is located as well! Might even be able to clue you in on who owns it.

There are tons of places in upstate NY like that, I don't know why some pople would rather let their old beater "it still ran when I parked it" rust away, instead of selling it to someone that could breath new life into it. My friend's Grandfather has about 15-20 cars / trucks parked all around his farm, all of them as he says "ran when he parked them" He would buy a new car every 5 or 6 years but never traded them in or gave or sold them, Some are still in excellent condition ranging from the 30's to early 80's when he never went to renew his license. He has probably p***ed by now, and would be well into his 90's if he was still alive. It pisses me off though he used 40 Ford Tudor as a chicken coop when he already had one. Arrgggh some people.....

Oh Yeah I got carried away for a moment, to sum it up, be careful with who you're dealing with, they may not be so eager to get rid of the old iron. And may even take offense to even mentioning it.

  12. It belongs to someone. I would NOT go frolicking around out there until you talked to the landowner. Good way to get your *** shot!

I always thought that those Chevy's had a smaller heater in them. I guess not, judging from the one that came out and is lying there on the ground beside the Chevy.

  27. Damn, the only time I find a stove, it's because the whole side of the car's been stove in.
