Baby's got some new shoes...Gen-yoo-wine imitation Centerlines with fat ass white lettered radials, to be exact! Helps to lock in that Full Disco late 70s/early 80s vibe!

Just need a set of yellow slapper bars, a novelty front plate and a set of bolt-on wheelie bars to go with it all!!! Lay on the funky thick candy stripes and be ready to BOOGIE!!

Made and installed a simple, crude...but functional shifter, too! [IMG]

(That red booby above the knob is the Hillbilly Pro-Lite that Unkl Ian was speaking fondly of at the Broken Dream Kruise yesterday!!)

  3. Well looks like that ol' hooptie has got middle age spread.
    How's it hangin' friend?

  4. are ya gonna paint the rear end orange or flat white? thats what us Hillbillys[TM] did in the old days -when we Jacked up the ass end with the HighJackers!.... [IMG]

  5. WAIT! you also have to add the little lights on the insides of the slapper bars, red usually, that lasted about as long as the lightbulbs did. A Kraco auto reverse cassette stereo and a set of Jensen 3-way 6x9s (installed inside the original boxes on the package shelf) [IMG]

Not applicable, but smoked headlight AND taillight covers. Limo tint and a strip at the top of the windshield advertising Oakley sunglasses, thermonuclear protection. [IMG]

That was the style down here, but on a 74-82 Camaro, Monte Carlo or Mustang.

You can at least spring for some proper Florescent Orange. [IMG]

And it needs a license plate frame that says "My other car is a Shitbox too!"

Look's good. With that '70's theme go for "Born ta Boogie" on the front tag. Anyone have a old crome rear end cover to donate to da cause? Hack, are you still going to use the 8-Track player? I may have some vintage to donate.

I just happen to have a NY license plate that says "ASS MAN" if you are interested. I had that bad boy on my 62 Impala Wagon for awhile, but put a tamer plate on it for the sale. -Joe

Nothing like living up to your screen name... [IMG]

You should match the orange paint with rust colored shag house carpet on the interior - this is turning into a theme car now - YOU'RE HIP!!!

YES!!! If you could rig a relay to make them flash around and around like Vegas lights...oh man...in sync with the rpms! How about a fishtank/fuel cell? Clear plexi, half the fuel cell and the other half a lit-up aquarium with fighting fish! BAD ASS!

Does Sears still carry that fake polar bear fur for the headliner and dash top? Some of that good old 2 color shag carpet for the floor too. And crushed velvet for the seats.

Don't forget the wheelwell lights and the blacklights in the interior. Babes are impressed by teeth & eyeballs hanging above a glowing T-shirt.

Remember to put a couple house speakers on long wires in the trunk so you can pull them out and impress everyone with that Kraco sound at cruise nights! Use brown extension cord wire for the true "Back in the day" look. About 12 feet on each side of the car for that true stereo effect. They'll be impressed when they hear "Several species of small furry animals" from Pink Floyd's Ummagumma!

Put in some padded studio headphones for when you're cruisin. Cuts down on all that unnessesary outside noise like tires screaching and horns blaring.

Don't try and make a curtain out of the new Beer can tabs.
They just don't work like the old pull tabs did.

Still fun emptying the cans tho...

You score a garter belt for the mirror yet?

    Jeezus, It's happening again! Nooooooo.

  21. I have the yellow slappers in the box(brand new) for the cost of shipping if you want them. I won't be needing 'em for that 84 Monte Carlo I was going to build. [IMG]

And for the rear license frame, it's gotta be the "Keep on truckin" one...

Everyone is forgetten chrome mud flap chicks! It's a Joe Dirt tribute [IMG]
You do all realise that some of us will actually have to cruise around with him. When he pull in to McD's girls will just gravitate towards him and will leave the rest of us with nothing!

  23. I have the mudflap girls on the back window of my P'up topper, they were 5.99 a pair at a truckstop in Ocala.

I have a bunch of Mr. Natural (Keep on Truckin', R. Crumb) sites bookmarked at home, maybe I can get you a nice prism sticker.

May I suggest bean bag chairs... [IMG]

The funniest part of this is going to be on the episode of cops when you get pulled over...."No really officer, this is all a joke !"

    Hey Hack,
You forgot to include a bra on the front to protect that
    flawless paint.
Maybe a nice black lace push up kind to match your sisters panties hanging from the mirror.
Dingle balls are also another nice touch since youre keeping it all traditional.

Seriously,i like it,my first car was a white 49 just
    like yours.
actually, i dont think it was this good.
