Been making some progress on my coupe lately first got it soda/sand blasted to see what I really had. The drip rails were nearly rotted off it where they mate to the roof, but the rest were in pretty good shape. I was worried about the roof under the drip rails being rotted too, but luckily they were not. I cut the drip rail along the bottom of the inner part and removed the rails from the body then removed the inner parts that were badly rusted. I took some 18 guage cold rolled and then made new inner piece then tigged it to remaining part of the drip rail dressed it with a flapper sander and spotted it back onto the p***. side of the roof. Here is the cool part, I went inside to take a break and after a while I noticed my wife Sandy had'nt come in yet I went out to the garage and found her making the piece for the other side. She made the pattern, transfered it to the sheet metal and cut it out with the electric shears while I was inside on my ***! too bad I havent showed her how to tig yet or she would have probably finished the driprail by herself then I got all the patch panels installed and its almost ready to go to the painter.
And then I suppose she started to un****on her shirt, winked and suggested you go back inside the house with her and you guys spent the rest of the night making mad p***ionate love. Dream on, I've only read stories like yours in Penthouse. Seriously, you've got a great wife. Wish I could transfuse some of her blood to my wife. She doesn't have the slightest interest in my hobby. It would be great to spend some quality time working on my trucks with my wife.
Does she have a sister who lives in California? JK. That is bad*** bud. My drip rails are wasted too. Gotta replace them eventually but other things take priority. I hope my A's body is as "sound" as yours looks. That is some good metal work.-Weeks

You're a lucky man! But I have to say, I'm right there with ya. I dropped off my 59 Edsel radiator at the shop to be repaired and asked my fiance (DaPhantom here on the HAMB) to pick it up for me because I was working late. When I got home, it was installed and topped off with anti-freeze, ready to drive!!!! (and people wonder why I proposed?). Anyway, nice work there! Looks killer and should last for years to come. Keep up the good work. (both of ya)
Yes it did, other than some of the work done when chopped in the past its in great shape. When I cut the piece off behind the p*** door to patch 2 old pennies fell out a 56 and 57 kinda cool I thought
must be nice...my girlfriend left me because of hotrods, oh well...who want's that anyways...car shows weren't fun anymore because of all the *****ing just have to find another one...just like car parts...haha

Lifes funny sometimes who you get hooked up with.I used to live next door to a couple and we shoulda swapped. She had a "LOVEMOBILE" so-called cause she bought it from her daughters boyfriend and found rubbers in the glovecompartment. Something was always going wrong with it and we would fix it while her hubby was cooking or shopping or doing his artwork. She couldn't cook. And my wife *****ing all the time about my projects. Hell, me and the neighbor would go to the demo derbys as a foursome and end up running together to get the best seats and forgot about our spouses. HA HA HA. Some things just aint rite. I think it is great she is interested in what u do and willing to help. Just be sure to reciprocate and DO NOT take for granted. Brush your teeth once in a while! LOL
yeah she wanted you to get done sooner so the two of you could go to the depot and pick out some wall paper......tell her we are on to her methods lol tk
