I've seen a pic of this car once, but now I cant find it. Its this '33/34 Dragracer, with 180deg headers. From what I remember, its a coupe with wild '60s paint, and the pipes go up in front of the windshield and stick up over the roofline. The pic I remember seeing was of it coming off the startline...
Strange setup. Pic appears to be a scan of a '70s magazine. Car doesn't look familiar to me. Interesting chromed GM shocks on front.........
Yeah, I'd like to find out more about it... I love the 180 headers, and you didn't see many on drag cars. There was a rail with twin Indy Ford V8's in it, but other than that, I cant think of too many.
It looks like a car sponsored by Mayfair Auto. I saw it run in the Detroit area back in the late 60's early 70's
That's funny, Jimmy White from Circle City Hot Rods and I were just talking about 180-degree headers. He said that the last set he saw were on a trophy truck and it sounded like it was from outer space...
Thanks for the Info, guys. Is this car still around or is it gone? ( if its taken apart, those headers must be hanging off a Garage Wall somewhere... )
Chop it real hard and run the collectors side by side (like they are) through a recess down the center of the roof. The pipes would run almost parallel to the ch***is/ground instead of pointing to the stars.....hmmmmm
