Unfortunately the car had already been found by vandals, marksmen, drunks and about one thousand spiders. Im pretty sure its a 59 Ford Custom 300. Its pretty thrashed. My camera died before I could get all the pics I wanted to, but you get the idea...

I'll be going back there within the next few days to salvage what I can. And I wish the dealership emblem area didnt have that damn spray paint on it cause it'd be cool as hell to cut out and hold onto.

Anyone know a good way to possibly clean that spray paint off?

That'll Buff right out:D huuhhhhhhhh cant stand spiders

  6. You can probably clean it off above and below and maybe do the lettering with a Q-tip, using laquer thinner or some such.

I don't see much else worth taking, but cars like this are good for cutting donor chunks out of if they happen to still be solid where others tend to rot, or if you need a roof skin or something.

  7. Rear differential in it? That is a short one!!!!

People who shoot at cars are NOT marksmen. People who shoot cars are *****s.

    May it rust in peace:(

  18. Like the guy said. Is the rear end there? If it was a V8 it's a 9". I don't see anything worth haulin' out.

Maybe it's got a 9"? Probably not worth pulling, though.

I found a big block two door '64 Dodge in a field out here that had gotten the exact same treatment.

The front fenders and hood weren't remarkably rust free, were they?

If it has a 9 inch that would be worth a couple hundred to maverick and early mustang guys cause it will fit without being narrowed

It's bad luck to **** around with lumps like that you might see. It's like coming on an old gravesite, tip your hat and continue on your way.

  24. If it has a rear, it would be a 9" - they didn't come with anything else that year.

yes if the rear is there it's the very desirable 9 inch which are the narrow ones perfect width , spring pads are perfect width to swap under a falcon , comet , mustang , etc !

All 57-59 Ford rears were 9's whether 6 or V8. If its there, its worth pulling. A lot of them had 3.70 gears in them too....Steering boxes are nice too, a great upgrade for a `57 Ford...bolt in better steering with a `58 or 59 box, more compact too, better clearance with FE swap.

Definitely a 9" rear and it looks like it's in there from the first picture. The windshield trim looks good and so does the back bumper, that back bumper is a somewhat desirable core.

Definitely worth grabbing those last couple pieces, why let them go to waste. And if this car happens to have any power steering pieces on it, get those too, very desirable.

The roof looked like someone used it as a trampoline at one point...

No steering left. Really nothing at all left. This car has been gutted to the utmost extreme. Still need to check the rear end though.
