Hey guys I was wondering what you guys were using for Clutch and brake pedal step in your 49-54 chevs. I am going to be running a 283 and a saginaw 4 speed. Has anyone used a hydraulic clutch setup? I know they make a dual master cyl but havent found anything on the clutch.

use the stock stuff. your just swapping motor and trans. i don't what year bell housing but i know you can use the stock pedals with it. a friends 53 is set like that.
or can always use the Buffalo master cylinder mount to get a better master on there.

I want to put in a T5 but my can was a stock auto trans. Right now I have a 327 and a 700r4 but would rather have a manual trans. I have a smoothed out fire wall and would like to keep it that way. Any tips on installing something remote?

I heard somewhere that there was a swinging pedal setup that was pretty nice but im not sure i want to do that. i was planning on using my stock pedals and just get a dual master cyl.

I made my own mount for a vette master under the floor. the filling station sells a kit to do the same thing. the hanging pedal kit is from... ?wilcap? or maybe rb's?

I'll post how my sbc/saginaw fits with the stock clutch linkage.

I used a swing set up from a 70s ford truck the clutch is fabed up to be manual on a t5, if I ever have problems on a rode trip there will always be a way to rig the clutch to work, which you cant really do if your hydralics go away.
