I'd call around to some pool halls. I'm sure that they lose balls all of the time, and might sell you one.

I agree with the "how is this qualified to be a thread" comment. Anyone that cannot look in the yellow pages or efreakinbay under Billiard/Pool Balls is hardly qualified to make the sort of cogent insightful prescient commentary we not only deserve but have become used to.

as your teacher/parent/caretaker/probation officer used to say: "look it up, you'll remember it longer"

I saw individual balls in the local Academy Sports store. Might check with them if there's one near you.

I have a set of pool balls I inherited from my father along with the table. They are from around 1930 & the five ball is solid orange. As far as I know,[ which is limited because i'm older than dirt],The solid color balls are 1 thru 8 & the stripped balls are 9 thru 15. Good luck & stay safe. :)

you're payin too much up there in Antigo... got a table that still takes two bits about a mile from here, and if you put it in right, it'll take a slug.

    um, so i'm told

what he's referring to is a thin black stripe around the white dot on every ball where the number is...

trouble is, that dont make a ball old really. thats just a Brunswick sentinel pool ball. its like the trademark if you wanna call it that.

As I said, I called every billiard room around here, and did two Google searches as well as an Ebay check. Maybe you should read the posts instead of your thesaurus. I can't believe a piss'n match over something that is as traditional as this.

  15. Yeah, but you're so far off the beaten path in Boise... it IS still 1988. :D:D:D

Yeah you are right Dave, some of the folks up here are sooooo dumb that they have to take their pants off to count to 21.

We don't live at the end of the world but you can see it from here.

Still save a lot of money on pool though and haircuts are still 10.00

Color - i need the orange, don't want a 13. Superstitious? I like the older balls that have the creamy color rather than brighter white and the little black circle too. Should have specified the vintage balls more clearly. I guess. Seems some guys don't bother reading the whole deal or don't comprhend what they've read and get in a snit. Billiard blls have been used for ever on Hot Rod shifters and the few halls we have locally don't keep any old ones. I figured someone here would be glad to sell one and make a few bucks and as it turnes out Ive had a lot of offers. The guys that don't like were outnumbered by a bunch!

Hey you could at least answer the question if you are gonna moan and groan.. I mean a useless thread seems just a little worse than a useless post. :)
