I could look at Dan's cars all week and not get bored! I have to say, I'm not really into this current concept, but the craftsmanship is beyond reproach. Beautiful, beautiful work. I met Ashley at SEMA '06 briefly when we were gawking at her car. Very cool, cl***y chick! Nice job folks!
And keep on buying your Golden Sub prints.. Very cool art by Thom Taylor that goes to a really good cause.. PM me for details
The framework is astonishing I'm havin trouble seein how he fabricated some of it !. And the perimeter disc brakes are a nice touch , a lot less visable than hub mounts. Man there would be a big pile o swarf an hole centers layin around after that lot.
Dumb question... what is the relationship between the car in this thread and this Golden Submarine? I saw this car at the 2007 Miller Show at the Milwaukee Mile in 2007. I have no idea if this car is original or a reproduction, either. Gary
They are both new. But Dan doesn't claim anything other than it is and what you see ...... Do you understand?
I believe even the one in the Indy Museum is a recreation. For me, it's the ultimate hiboy chopped coupe.
Barney Oldfield, Master Driver of the World & Harry Miller would be proud. Keep American history alive! Barney Oldfield great great nephew www.rumbledrome.com www.brownfoxbooks www.gambleart.com
Barney Oldfield lopped the body off (if I understand it, he felt unsafe inside the "sub"), so both bodies are "new".
I've rcived many PM's asking if the sub will be at Detroit Autorama and I thought I would just post the answer Yes it will See you then
