Ok before anyone rips my head off for asking this I would like some help on finding out what kind of seats these are. I tried all kind of sites looking for these to see what they are. I got them off of a guy who said they might be Corvair seats, but I think they might be Impala seats. Thanks for your time.
I posted a similar issue a month or 2 ago, your seats look alot like mine 'cept for the upholstery (my covers aren't original). Here's what I found out, maybe it'll help you too: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=309876
corvair, chevy 2,tempest,cutless all shared the same seat foundation. go to the repop upholstery site and compare. look like chevy 2.
The corvair used those little chrome ****ons. The door panels would have matching ones. Same seats were in my '63 corvair.
Those are corvair for sure. Very simillar to Chevy II but have different stich on the port and starbord sides
Keep in mind that early Corvair buckets are wider than 64-65 A-body seats. These being from a '63, I'd say they're the wider ones, which would work in a Nova but came originally from a Corvair. Seats from a 65-up Corvair would fit in a 64-65 A-body GM car.
The early Cutl*** was the same size as the Corvair and Tempest/LeMans and, in 1960 - 1963, it was not an A-body.
65-up Corvair Monza bucket seats are the same ones used in the 64-65 A-body cars including Cutl***. Plenty of Monza's lost their bucket seats to upgrade bench seat A-bodies from 64 and 65.
