I am running into a brick wall trying to find leaf spring pads for a 2 1/2" diameter axle tube to mount to a 1 3/4" wide spring. I also need lower shock brackets for the same application - preferably multi position. Everywhere I look seems to have 3" diameter pads and brackets, and a couple of suppliers have 2 3/4" but no 2 1/2" diameter stuff. Does anyone out there in HAMBland know for sure of a manufacturer supplier that has this smaller diameter stuff? Help!:(

Check with trailer mfg, supply companies.
Tractor Supply don't know if you guy's have them out there.

I have found odd ball pads in oddball places, might have to modify them or make your own.

  4. Yeah, you could just make some yourself by cutting them out of a piece of square tubing.

Or you could get some made for 3", and find something that's 2-1/2" diameter to use as a template, and mark the new radius, and do some grinding.

I think I remember 'Warrior Products' making them in that size.

I'm running into the same problem, but decided to just make them. My car had the knee action shocks, and i want to upgrade, i'm going to make a cardboard pattern, with shock mount options at 1", 2", and 3". Then i'm going to tranfer the pattern to my metal, and fire up the torch and welder!

Thanks guys - its just waaay cheaper to find 'em already done - $19.95 pair from Currie for 2 3/4" diameter which I could grind. Ditto with the lower shock mounts, but I would like multi position shock mounts and Currie doesn't do those. Sure I could make 'em - but not for anywhere close to that price. I'll try calling a couple of trailer manufacturers and see what they have.

buy a set of 2 3/4 or 3" and use a small piece of square stock to fill the gap

    Bumpity bump

Called Warrior products and their website is a little confusing. All their brackets and stuff are set up for 3" diameter axle tubes, although the leaf spring pad section on their site is also a little confusing. I also tried the other suggested websites and no luck there either.

Back to square one and give me back the cigar born loser.:(

Yeah, I bought spring pads for a YJ Jeep from Warrior. The YJ axle had a 2 3/4" tube, so, it oughta be a shoe-in. Nope, the Warrior pads are for a 3" tube. I coulda bought a set of pads for a 3" axle for $15 instead of the $30 I dropped on the Warriors.

    Shoulda done my research first!
