second Gen Camaro works well, and has the requirements You seek.
late 70's caddy seville with Overdrive will have a pretty close gear ratio, and the probability of disc brakes. many of those were Posi also.

    Happy hunting!

If the explorer is the right size for you, then check around your area for someone to redrill it to chevy bolt pattern. On the other hand, changing gear ratios isn't as hard as it sounds. Find an axle that will fit in your application, and has disk brakes, then change it to the ratio that you want.

Take a S-10 2.5 rear axle and grab the ring and pinion, then take a Camaro/Firebird rear axle with disc's and drop it in. Just keep both pre 89 or post 89.

94 and later S-10 Blazers have 308 or 342's, however come with disc's, spring purches and are set up with eaton gov-loc's

I would go with a 9" ford....you can pick your ratio and change it later if need be, on the cheap. Cheap disc brake conversions are available everywhere!!! Getting someone to set up a non-drop out rear around here can be pretty costly!!!

If ya decide to go that way and you can't find a decent housing and pig in your area, drop me a PM. A buddy of my deals in good used 8 and 9 inch stuff!!!!

Mine's out of a '79 Firebird. 10-bolt 308. They probably offer gear sets for around $400.
