I've always had good results from SOS pads and a cleaner like Fantastic or Simple Green. I'm reluctant to use something that strong on my expensive tires unless it is absolutely necessary.

I 2nd the nod to Coker's whitewall cleaner, works great. I have a set of L78's that checked after using Westley's for a few years. Never heard of the Super Clean idea though. Gotta try to remember that next time.

I use it to clean my tub and strip paint off model cars.

I've been using Castrol Super Clean for a long time to clean whitewalls. Sometime you can use the SOS pads too, they do a great job as well.

I've always used to use the Westleys but my whitewalls checked. After I bought a new set a buddy of mine told me he's had good results with hand cleaner like gojo, I've been using it ever since. And then using a non silicone based tire dressing.

On a camping trip, a friend of mine found that Bleche White is good for killing mosquitos.

I only use it on really dirty tires.

I'll third that! But it's not as bad as the alkali degreaser my brother got in his eyes while were cleaning the diesel pumps at the service station we used to work at!

joesgarage,an awesome stainless steel cleaner for trim pieces is surf city garage's stainless steel cleaner, perfect results all the time check them out on line i dont think they sell commercially.I would agree westleys does dry out the rubber causing cracking ,the coker product is far better, and no cracking,i have been using it for a while and the whiteness you get is better overall

Eagle-one wadding polish in the silver and black tin works well for me. I also use mop-n-glow on my chucks for easy cleanin-jus sayin
