Intro from a Throttler... at the salt

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by The Deviator, Aug 14, 2004.

  1. Who was even talking to you Kilroy? I didnt see unnecessary posts from you until now. And did you not read Ryan's post on intro's. busting balls is fine, but poking fun is another.. Its all the unnecessary **** that needs to be cut out, if you dont like something then fine, but dont waste bandwidth. remember what everyones Moma said " if you dont have nothing nice to say then dont say anything at all" something like that

hey I like your roadster w/0 the grill shell. I don't what those other people say. [IMG] and scrub lines are for janitors. very nice pic.

one question I always wondered.. does the salt screw up your motor when it gets in your stacks or how do you deal with it?

  4. ... you need to make those ****s a little bigger to be closer to real life!

I also like being a woodshop teacher...

And what's so wrong with theme cars and iron crosses... is the weak beer in Salt Lake City affecting your sense of humor??

Next time I'm out there... I'll bring you some "hard stuff"... our Coors Light'll get you hammered!

    Sam.
p.s. I like the car he built and hope he contributes to the HAMB instead of bringing it down...

    Killroy..

Hey man, I knew you guys were just ribbin' him, no harm in that. I didn't take it seriously, just as I named ya the scrub line police... just a little rib! To each their own is my moto.

But as long as were getting on a serious note: I don't worry about the plane crashing every time I fly in one. I take the same approach to the hot rods. Make it as safe as you feel comfortable with. What about air bags, side impact bars, seatbelt pretensioners, crumple zones and colapseable steering columns? The same arguement could be made for those items as well. If a guy in a race car isn't worried, than neither am I. I don't live my life inside a bubble taking no risks, and I would guess you don't either. I believe that there comes a point where you have to quit worrying about what could happen, and just drive the damn thing. Anyhow, I want you to know that I got the humor in your and Sam's posts and was not offended at all...

The fact that you guys have no sense of humor...

Or that Buick 59 has so many pics of Units on his computer... [IMG]

All's fair.

Samiyam........I didnt have Utard beer this weekend. I made it a point to drink all of Bob K's local brew stuff. I'll see you in California real soon..........where we can draw *****'s at the local Dennys.

It's not about safety as much as it's about style and craftsmanship. I don't worry about stuff happening all the time but it's about the challenge of building something right. You have to set goals for yourself. As for me, I think saying **** it to life and limb and making your car as low as possible is a cop out. The lowness becomes the defining factor or one of the major ones. I like low cars but I like cars that look like they're going fast standing still better and to me if your car is an inch of the gound it looks "planted" like it ain't going anywhere. Anybody can build a car so it's just off the ground but it takes a craftsman to build a car that takes scrub line into consideration while still trying to get the car at a good "under the radar" al***ude. True, if you're building a salt car or a top fueler, you have differnt goals but if the only thing like a top fueler on your car is that it's s****ing the ground, then you can't use that as your model.

Again, I don't really care what anybody else does and am not going to try to tell anybody else what to do, but I am going to reserve the right to make ****-wad comments about stuff I see that I like or don't like. I'm just like that... [IMG] [IMG]

I know what you are trying to say Kill, allthough I don't exactly agree with the cop out statement... low was Deek's goal when he built it. It's cool though, I respect your opinion if you respect mine. You can't please everyone. [IMG]

Hey where the hell are you Deek? I'd like to hear what you've got to say...

If everyone said what they thought about everyone elses cars on the HAMB, there would be a lot of pissed off people. The truth is that everyone has different tastes, some people can only taste food...and my brother is a big ole **** [IMG] There is no way around it, they and he can't help it.

You don't even know what he does for those kids. So shut your mouth ***hole. You have to know me too, that it takes a lot to piss me off, and saying that Sam is jeolous of someone because he's a woodshop teacher is obsurd. Oh, and I think buicks **** ****.

I like the truck, so welcome to the board man. [IMG]

Welcome and nice meeting you this past weekend.

Do you have any pix of a certain someone getting sprayed with hot water from a radiator hose? Just kidding.

Also, Do you have any build up pix of the car?

Welcome. I like that truck...a lot. Super jealous of those wheels too. Nice score.

I have a feeling I'll be bugging you with a lot of questions about the plumbing on that radiator setup when I start my next project.

You'll have to excuse Smalls' comments... he's on pain medication and it makes him a little edgy...

Why he called me a "big ol' ****" in one post and then in his nezt post he's sticking up for me... meds are making the poor kid by-polar...

Anyway, that dude that built that low-azz truck has skills... he makes that thing look like a Lance Sorchik cartoon... ya gotta have balls to screw seven wives and to build **** like that... don't know where the weak beer comes in though. [IMG]

Thanks DEVILator for apparently being the only one in Morman-******* Utah that gets when someone is just busting on the new guy. [IMG]

    Innovative little truck and welcome.

How does the flathead run with all that plumbing, anyway?
