I took a drive today to confirm what I had heard a couple of months ago. There was a salvage yard just west of Eldorado Springs MO that had a tremendous supply of old cars, not many of the 20's and 30's but a lot of 40's, 50's and 60's. Well they are all with the exception of a few collectibles being crushed. Thanks to a fella that went there to get some parts and hurt himself. He fell and broke his leg and as soon as he could he got a lawyer involved and sued. The owner of the yard had no choice but to shut it down. Over 300 cars that are gone thanks to some one more concerned about what he could get out of a lawsuit than the potential supplies for the bunches of us that would or could need them. What a waste. Later, ****
We've got two yards North of Denver that are closing soon- one guy is sick and the other ran into issues with the new homeowners that built around his place that has been there for 30+ years. Hate to see the cars crushed, but at least steel isn't bringing as much right now, so the yard owners will hopefully keep the older stuff around a bit longer...
Get two stout ropes, the client's name, his lawyer's name, and find a nice old tree with large overhanginf branches. I think an old pickup would do for a launch platform, then watch 'em dance!
It really feels like this world wants to phase out courtesy, respect, honesty, and fellowship. Admit defeat, live in decline Be the victim of our own design
Flathead daddy are you talking about Speedway and Erie auto salvage? next to Colorado national speedway just off I 25. Can parts still be bought there?
What a puss I hope he brakes his legs again. One for being a dumb*** and another for being a cry baby. Sorry ***
If its been through the court system his address should be in the public files so a bunch in the area should look him up and persuede him to change his mind.
