Here's one I built about 25 years ago. I was surfing the net last week and found this pic at http://www.angelfire.com/pa2/pindan/dodge.htm I wrote Dan and he updated site. The Van is 66 A100. Top chopped 5 in. rain gutters removed, side doors replaced with driver no door section, body seams welded. It has a steel spoiler and flares. Vent windows removed and 1 piece smoked glass installed. I sold van to a guy at Carlisle about 19 years ago, he said he was from California. I am interested in finding out where it is now. Any info ?

My dually version. The wife hates it and named it "Big Ugly", I think I'll keep it just to aggravate her.

I've had this one 39 years--can't seem to sell it so I am searching for inspiration.--maybe a gasser-or just a fresh coat of suede, maybe flat red--the pic with the orange wheels was 1980

I guess I don't stop by often enough. I can't believe I missed this thread. Here's my '64 A100. Bought sitting on Ansen Sprints with a '70 340 / auto already fitted between the seats...

Heres my recently aquired '63 Corvan, pics are when I was looking at trading for it. Ive since put Pontiac dog dish caps on it, and Im going through it tidying it up. Very solid former Arizona Ma Bell van. I will be registering and insuring it this week, sucks that winters about to hit. But it is my primary vehicle if wifes car isnt available, though I refuse to let it see snow.

  22. Covairs get around in the snow really good, rear mounted engine, IRS, smooth undercarriage.

Looks like those twice pipes might give you a little trouble though.

I guess I should have said, I refuse to let it see salt. Ive also put two turbo muffs on it, I dont see them being trouble, seem to clear pretty good. I havent drove it much, just around the neighborhood though.

No IRS on this one, swing axle. Ive drove it some more, its reg'd and insrd, definetly gets looks. Sancho left me stranded last wed, the electric fuel pump kicked the bucket on me, luckily I had already dropped the kids off at school and was heading home. All taken care of, along with new fuel lines and a few other things, and drove it around town today, will run better once I put a new accellerator cup in the rt carb.

This A-100 came to the Noccalula Falls car show at Gadsden, Al., and the other 2 A-100's were in a junk yard down in Florida, one had corner windows, they were stock, but must be fairly rare. I have another picture I wish I could have posted, it shows a friend of mine's son when he was about 10 standing in front of the Little Red Wagon with Bill Maverick Golden standing next to him at the old Montgomery Drag Strip, he also got to sit in a rail dragster, his dad and I were jealous!

That was built by a guy in San Diego.
He also built a Nash metro with the same Pontiac motor.
He passed away years ago, after finishing the rampside....

  29. It was just on ebay, reserve not met at a little over 5000 I think. Its in OKlahoma now. I posted the ebay link on ''econoline madness'', I know its a dodge but I thought it fit there also.

  30. I never liked that thing. It could have been really cool, but I think they missed it.
