1950 Merc Gauges

OK, my merc didnt come with the original gauge cluster, didnt come with any gauges period. I do have the original dash and the chrome dash insert with the start ****on, ac controls, etc. I have a piece of aluminum that I fitted for where the gauges go, but cant find any gauges that will fit in. The clearance for the speedometer is only 3 inches and for the rest it would have to be 1 inch. Anyone ran into this problem before ? I found a digital gauge set that will fit right in, but DONT WANT DIGITAL GAUGES. Any advise will help. I want to keep the original dash and chrome insert, if theres a way to make a Speedometer, fuel, oil and temp gauge work. Let me know.

I bought a panel that mounts in the back of the stock dash and accepts the small gauges. I can't remember who I got it from, but I have seen them on the auction sight. Hope it helps.

 

Post an add in the wanted section. Many with '50 & '51's have changed from their's to a '49 dash.
