Having been inspired by the recent 4 door to 2 door posts here, and on CT, I have put together a video... Hope you enjoy it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TXLGxlFyzx4
Thanks Todd, Thrut be told, I got no more skills than anyone else. Yesterday I was trying to put together a "video slideshow" of some pics of my '57 to email to a friend. I used one of those "free online moviemakers" to do it. When it was done, and I tried to email it, it asked me if I wanted to post it [upload it] to my you-tube account... Well, jeez, I never even thought about that. What the heck... Then it dawned on me that I had a program on my computer called "microsoft movie maker",,, so I started playing around with it, and next thing you know, I'm making movies! It's super, SUPER easy. Took me about an hour to make that. If I was familiar with the program, I'm guessing I could have done it in 1/2 that time.
Wow man what a cool video.I've seen it done by just welding and filling the doors, but thats pretty cheezy and looks exactly like what it is,welded up doors. When finished you can't tell that it was never a 2 door.Way cool.
Very nice presentation of the video and certainly of the bodywork. Skills? Yes! Computer stuff and car fixin stuff is easier for some than others. Learn to take a compliment.

What is the difference between the 2 and 4 door door jambs? I would've thought all that was the same. Good post
LOL!!! That was my first ever post here on the HAMB, and it was exactly one year ago. Unfortunately no, I sold the car just a few weeks ago. The p***enger side was converted. The drivers side was preped, but I was still looking for a nice door before welding it back together. I dont feel too bad about it, it went to a nice home, and I made a VERY nice profit on the whole deal. CSU55, who receives credit at the end of that video get's all the credit for inspiring me. Also, about 75% of those photo's are his, or were provided by him. He is a hamb-er, and you should look him up if you want to do this conversion. He has a "manual" available that gives al the technical details on how it's done... My video is just simple "eye candy"
