Dang Chuck, thats a nice christmas present! You still don't have the body mounted or affixed to the frame? Meaning that there is a chance you'll rake the back end up a bit?

If you need me to keep an eye out for any parts let me know, as I just went up to Wyoming Cl***ic Cars junkyard a day ago and they got tons of goodies!

  4. Works been taking up alot of my time lately. But heres a little tease for you guys. My dash came in yesterday. I havent even had time to play with it yet. I will tonight and tomorrow though for sure.

I handmade the whole rear section of this body. The decklid/upper panel/lower panel will all be molded into the body. The fuel tank/battery will be easy access. Placement will be right behind the seats. The fuel tank will have a filler tube probably somewhere in the ****pit or coming up through the body in a descrete place. Im going to try to mount my motor tonight. Its tough when youre a not the biggest guy in the world working single handidly building a hot rod. But it sure is fun...

Oh, and whats up Kyle! Ima let you know if I need parts. The body will have more of a rake when I do actually mount it.

  18. Some recent pics. Its been on a standstill the past few weeks from money issues and building a frame for a friend of mine. Progress will pick up soon though.

looks like you are off to a great start! i am not going to lie though, i think it looks better with the stock wire wheels ... even though that y-block would probably rip the centers right out.

  20. Ive got a new waterpump coming on Tuesday. Since this motor came out of a truck the stock waterpump/fan/pulley setup will definitely not work. The new pump will set the fan/pulleys back and down quite a bit so I can mount my motor about 2"-3" farther foward. Im still looking for a T5 transmission though. The trans I have won't work. Does anyone have a T5 theyd lend to the project, or have suggestions for a different toploader trans I can run? Its the ONLY thing keeping me from moving foward on this damn car.

  21. Transmission and driveshaft will be here this weekend. Time to get my motor mount finished, and make a transmount for my crossmember, then its time to floor this bad boy. Im pretty stoooooked! I'll keep you guys updated!

  22. Got my motor/trans pulled tonight to fix my motor mount and straighten up a few other little things. Trans should be here beginning of this week. I'll take this time to modify my motor mount and get that in the frame, basically get everything ready for the new transmission. Once it gets here I'll slap everything together and get it all back in the frame, then its time for new trans mount/tweak x-member, then its FINALLY time to set up my steering. Progress continues, you bet your ***.

    awesome! love the stance!

  24. Today Im t******* a little off my stock front crossmember so I can mount my motor a little farther foward. Thatll bring the body about 2 or 3" more foward too for a better stance. Im pretty stoked on this thing. More to come.

    Look'n good Charlie!

The engine. You know you could easily clean the parts up with a bench grinder, a wire wheel and a little bit of elbow grease. Atleast to a point where they would look decent to be painted or powdercoated.

The dash. Looks nice mounted in that empty shell. Will you be shaving it?

Keep it up, make sure to get a video of the motors first turn over. Paticurarly your face win she DOESN'T run. LoL just kick'n ya!

    Peace Son

  26. haha kyle you ****er. Transmission is on its way. First one that came was wrong but we situated everything and a Ford T-5 should be this time next week.

Heres a teaser, got my caps in...

  27. Ok so I just talked to Mike about the trans. Itll be here shortly after the 4th, he had to handle some customers and family issues before getting it shipped out. No problem. Not much of an update but its definitely not at a standstill. Im making this post more a build journal instead of a regular thread with update after update.

    Thanks everyone. ONWARD!

  28. Got my steering mocked up and pretty much mounted last night. Looks SUPER *****in. Im gonna try to remember to bring my camera next time since the car is at my parents' house. Im getting ready to order some steering arms and stuff to finalize the steering here pretty soon. Im STILL WAITING on a damn transmission. My friend still hasn't gotten around to shipping it for me. Its the only thing holding me up!

Anyways, frustrated but progress is still being made. I guess thats what this is all about right?

Pics and more progress coming, stay tuned folks.

    Thanks!

  29. I braced my body when I got home from work today and played with my steering again. ****s gonna look sick. I raised my body up to a 4" channel instead of a 6" (thats what it is in the pics) Looks alot more athletic now than it ever did. I think I might have to remount my front wishbones to the inside of the framerails to make way for the pittman arm. Shes really coming together. Once I get my transmission I'll be making some STRONG headway.

Anyways, doesn't look like anyones following this anymore, but if you are thanks!
