The Frakes and Funk twin is in my shop in IN now. it started life as a Mark Williams chassis and ended up wrecking then getting front halfed and re bodied by Stebbins. I'll post some pics of my other junk later. Mike

My first test run was a 9.96 @ 136 mph not bad for a 350 on alka with a Glide and 4:10 gear</center>

shame but the garage isnt mine, its a place my man neal reed www.retrophoto.co.uk knows of that we used for a photo session,
the engine is a 3.8 jaguar xk motor running moded su carbs, on alky.
    driven through a B&M equiped 727 clutchflite.
best so far is 10.9 @128.
must add the running gear was taken from this car and now nestles between a chromoly chassis tagged to sfi spec to run 7.50 et.

well, last year, we got our dragster together, 140" front engine car.. we bought a real 1967 dragster, and sent it to get "updated" for certification, but needed a new chassis.. danny kraus built the new chassis, copied from the old one.. jim peirick and i finished it, built the engine from crap laying around the shop.. 400 chevy, (because it is cheeep)...on alky with a carb.. jim is the driver, and i drink the beer, and watch.. jim is a long time friend of mine, and has never driven a real racecar before.. he is 65 years young.. he is having so much fun, it would be impossible to want to drive right now..(for now) best lap so far, 8.40 @ 165 mph.. not sure if that's fast, but it sure is fun !! this year, i'm trying to finish my 30 model a coupe from hell (blown/injected hemi) this video, is unfortunatley of when the transmission was burned up(slipping)actually quit working in the third round of eliminations(dang-it) usually does a cool wheelie, for couple hundred feet, then scarey ride on down the track..

would like to know what the other dragsters are runing, old school carbureted engines..? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PRcD8MWTK04

I like the old cars with a sngle hoop overhead but they won't cert so I had to build the cage on my new car to keep SFI happy.no matter what you do it is not going to keep IHRA/NHRA happy unless you build or mod the old chassis to the current SFI spec.
