I have been with my wife for ten years and have hunted on her family's ranch for most of that time. I thought I had seen every inch of it but I was wrong. I had always heard of the "bone yard" but had mistaken it for another area of hidden scrap piles. I was talking to an uncle about a 46 Dodge he had just sold when he told me I should fix up the old Chrysler in the bone yard. To my confusion he directed me to another area that I didn't even know was part of their property. I was quite surprised to find a few old cars and pumps stashed away. Already having more projects than I need, I sparked an interest in my brother-in-law to start restoring this old 61. It may not be the most desired car out there but it sure was fun to find and I'm glad to save one more chunk of history. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

I remember working on one of those in tech school. We would go get it and drive it back to the school, do what ever to it and drive it back. The man that owned it could no longer drive the car anymore. He bought it new, and wanted to keep it running well. It got driven about once a month. Cool old car.

So, you located the Bat Mobile on your wifes', families', ranch. Looks like someone added two more doors and painted it white. Butch/56sedandelivery.

5. Score! Lots of potential with a 4-door hardtop, Astro-dome gauge cluster, and the square steering wheel. Lower it and go nuts with paint and upholstery. Those look good with Chrysler wire wheels.

6. Nice spaceship car!

Great score! But isn't that a '60 instead of a '61? Great find tho.

Sweet find.
Dad had a friend with one of them once, but he got pissed at the transmission and drove it into the river.

Looks like the stuck kind to me. Probably a 59AB but could be earlier. I hope you have a '56 era ford pickup to put that Chrysler grille into!

That car is indeed a 1961. '60 had similar fins but didn't have the canted quads, '60 had a big Vee'd front bumper. I would have been all over that '61, I love Exner era Mopars.

There's a couple of early 50's Dodge pickups. All complete but look like they might be a 3/4 ton? Also a 62 tempest with the rearend missing. Both of these belong to cousins who aren't very into cars. I have been trying to work on a cousin who owns the 28 chevy in the front of the ranch. He'll come crawling when he's short on cash. One of my favorite finds is the 8' Gilbert and Barker early 20's visible gas pump. They offered me that, so I'll pick that up in the spring. There are a few other trinkets like model A doors and other body parts that I will throw on a thread for you guys to identify.
