Thanks for this posting. As a kid in the 50's, I drooled over magazines with photos like these. How many of you remember when the hot rod magazine was small enough to fit in your back pocket ? Or the cartoons with "Speedy McGirk" ?
This just goes to show that many of our Grandparents were innovative bad***'s. Where can I get a "Traffic Violator" window sticker?
Great stuff. Makes me want to pull the fenders off something and drive on some dirt....really fast. See ya in 10 days.

Man PETA would be going nuts now days if they saw that but it looks like that lion is enjoying the ride though.
They were for Pontiacs and others around 1949-54 with the flathead six .The battery sits right beside the engine, but look at all the yuk yuks getting their jollys in the background... The driver looks like your typical pimply kid with too much need for speed. Where is he now?
I have said it before andwill say it again, what goes through someones mind........ Hey! I might take the big man eating tiger for a ride on the wall of death? I mean WTF? It is oh so cool though. That chopped 37 with the Harley in along side is the FIRST chopped 37-8 I have ever seen that had a good liking chop, Damn nice....... I want my 38 back now! Doc.
