Here are two pics of my Mom & Dad ready to leave on their honeymoon in my garandfathers brand new 1948 Hudson. They drove it from Peoria Illinois to Este Park Colorado. Also is a picture of my dad's 1941? Ford coupe that he didn't trust to take on the trip. Cool thread

My Dad in early '53, a member of the Igniters out of Hollydale Ca, with his freshly painted, and upholstered '40 Chevy. Running boards not installed yet, but the car was pretty low for the times. Pretty stock engine, dual carbs, cast iron headers and lake plugs. He was a 17 year old Marine here and about to get his ass shipped to Korea. The armistice was signed while he was in transport, happy day for him.

    Cool thread.

Here's one from a few years ago, taken about 1915 in Brooklyn, NY of my grandfathers two sisters and their kids. The car has actually been setup, probably in Coney Island, with a phony backdrop so people could get their picture taken in this wonder of the modern age.
After much internet searching I was able to identify the car as a 1910 Rambler, the first car with a clincher rim and yes they were eventually bought out by Nash who revived the name in the 50's.
