I've been lurking for a couple of days and waiting to tell my story until my deal went down. I am new to this whole hot rod thing. I have been messing with fast boats for alot of years and recently building triumph choppers wich brings me to my story. I recently put a chopper up on craigs list here in Detroit, which is going through a financila depression right now, and I get an email that I was sure was just a buddie messing with me. The mail asked if I wanted to trade the bike for a 30 Ford. I replied and said sure thinking there is no way it is true. The guy sends a pic and wants to come look at the bike so I say OK thinking its a prank and not expecting any one to show up. He comes, looks and asks to trade even up for body frame and wheels. I agree but say I must see car. When I go he throws in a 302 and a T-5. I can't believe it and make arrangements to pick up 2 days later. Turns out is a blizzard but I go anyway, I don't want him to change his mind. Right now thc car is in my garage amd the motor is already at my buddies race shop. I know it seems hard to beilive but it is absolutely true. I'm super stoked and am gonna try my hand at hot rod building know. By the way I had a total of $ 700.00 invested in the bike. I'm still pinching my-self. [/IMG]
