Well folks, please help me welcome the new car. Just picked her up today and I am tickled pink. Just needs a H.A.M.B. sticker on the window and I am ready!

nice start. having owned 10 or 12 of those may i offer some advice? keep the door strikers tight or replace with bearclaws and replace the window felt if worn.that will save your doors and door gl***.

Very nice find! I loved mine. Smooth lines and small enough to be a joy in traffic. Congrats!

Thanks! The lovely parked in front of it is my old friend, Darla. Can't take credit for her, though. She came from the factory that way :D

Here it is right before I sold it. The red rims were only to make it sell to the m***es. I always ran them black.

I was going to comment on the lovely girl parked on the hood but I did not know the story behind her and did not want to offend!!!

None taken. She's a sweety. When I was living in KC, she was part of our group of friends. She's all married up now, so she's off the market for you single guys. Sorry. haha. Good luck with your new Fairlane. Keep us posted with photos.

What kind of tailight treatment did you have on the '55. Kreatures?

That was a merc wagon kit I got from Night Prowlers. It was a *****, though. Nothing fit right and had to be altered. The bezels are molded of plastic, so they're easy to work with. Once it was done, it looked cool as hell. The lenses even threw off a cool diamond shaped prism when you hit the brake lights. Here's the link...

Ya know, I THOUGHT they might be Merc wagon lights, but I thought those mounted more straight up & down. It's one of my favorite mods for that year Ford.

I just realized that I never got a photo of that car from the back after the tail lights were installed. Stupid, stupid, stupid! It looked killer.

  22. What do you mean replace with bearclaws? I've got a '56 and the doors just don't close very easy and I've adjusted and lubed and done every thing I know to do. They just don't close like now days doors do.

mine seemed to loosen every so often. Finally, I got them adjusted right and used red loc-***e on the screws. Never had a problem again.

I think the factory color on this car was yellow/white. If you have a color photo of yours I would love to have it. Mine will stay primered for awhile I suspect!!!

They are a yummy apple cinnimon pastry. As for door catches I am not sure.

  30. they are an aftermarket "burst proof" type latch/catch ***embly. They would be an improvement over the stock system but not a 5 minute job to fit.
