Long story short I bought a basket case of a 36 chevy coupe. Story goes it was found in a pile at an old mine in Utah. It was flipped upside down and a fire was set in it. The roof was trashed most wood has been burned out of it. The previous owner found a donor roof and sectioned it at the a pillars and used most of the rear section 3/4 down the trunk. Then the old section shuved into the back half not yet grafted in. Till this last weekend I have it almost complete. The car was sitting on a early 30's ford frame with the x member cut out of it and the front piched in to try to make it work. Kinda ruff needless to say. The floor was hacked on to again to try make the frame work. This ruined the integraty.. True basket case. Anyway it was a "good" deal sort of speak. It has a clear title and came with a 35 master sedan for extra parts... I had to make two trips to haul my pile home. On the first trip I stumble accross what maybe a cool little roadster builder. The owner knows nothing about it, nor does it have a title. I could not resist loading it too. I have the cowl and rear section 4 or five sets of fenders and running boards. rear frame pieces. The second trip a buddy came along and scored a 34 chevy sedan two door body. I inquired if the fella had a frame for the roadster. Something I could build a frame from. So low and behold I loaded a late 20's frame into the bed of my truck, another rear sectioned frame, and a front axle assembly in front of my coupe already on the trailer. The guy is awesome any parts that may even come close to working for me he offers. Of course the more parts the better. Well on the ride home chatting it up with my buddy he tells me that the 34 chevy sedan inside the shop is for sale as well. It is nice, all the fenders running boards grill, front suspension is all there cleaned and ready to assemble, but no title. I had to sleep on it. little sleep did i get. called him this morning and told him i had to have it. WE bargained again back and forth. Needless to say I am making a trip next saturday not only to pick up my buddys 34 body for a "rat rod" but a sweet 34 for myself. I can't wait. I need help from those of you that held in there on my excitment. I brought home this roadster thing and have clue what all of it is. I am sure they are all miss matching but together they are cool. check out the attached pics let me what these front and rear halves maybe.
I am not looking for the rat rod look. I like fenders and paint. Just love to know what these are....
I have not figured how to explain it to the wife yet. Hunny I umm borrowed em ... Yeah thats it. Anybody have any good reading on straight axles. I got one with roadster type car. Has the y type link front, the springs on top of the axle. I am trying to read everything I can get my hands on.
not here to brag. Just excited! Really need to know more on the cowl and rear that I stumbled across. I will post pics of the other two cars when I get them home this next weekend. Thanks all who have pmed me.

I need to know where to start so i can advertise it for sale. Will post up on the classifieids when I can get some pictures of it setting together with all the parts and frame....
Thanks man!! I posted up some pictures on craigslist. New pictures more of the way you saw it on Sunday.
pic 1: not a raodster -looks like a dodge coupe cowl. pic 2: still looks like a dodge coupe cowl . . . looks like back end a nd fenders from a dodge roadster though . . . but a lot of wood in there . . . hmm pic 3: back end looks a little like a chrysler or desoto maybe pic 4: still looks kinda like a dodge but not roadster . . . coupe or something pic5: hmm . . . got a light too . . . jeez . . . pic 6 crazy looking back end . . . interesting pic7: Back section is weird with that line that tips up . . . still thinking dodge or chrysler WISH I COULD GET CLOSER!!!! cool cars very ambitious.
Congrats on scoring all the old tin. Got any more pictures of the '36 Chevy Coupe? I love those things --- even when they are semi-rough old projects. Is your '36 body early or late 36? Early '36 had wood inner structure for the doors, and late '36 had a metal inner structure in the doors. My '36 Coupe is early '36, so I will have to weld in square metal tubing in the doors and elsewhere in the body, but that's OK. It'll be worth it.
Looks like a 26-27 Dodge coupe with the top taken off. The trunk area looks like it was made into a pickup truck with the angle iron brackets on it. Probably done in the first half of the 40's for the gas sticker. Farm trucks got more gas.
Good answer JHZMAN what I was trying to say . . . only better! Hey AJEEPNUT, I have a completely stock, '35 Chevy 2 door sedan frame with delux suspension. It's complete with motor, tans, spoked wheels everything. I don't have it listed for sale anywhere, but if your interested send me a PM.
Southfork, it is te early 36 with the wood. Most of the wood was burned out of it at a mine. So it is ruff but a challenge!!! i am enjoying it. Mark i am going to use the 35 sedans frame. Thanks for the offer I will keep it in mind but I think I have it figures out... As far as pictures I will have more tomorrow when I am able to get it on a frame again. Thank you for all the support on the coupster/roadster. what i am hearing about it is this it maybe a 26 0r 27 dodge coupe/ trunk part turned into a pickup. pieced together with a roadster fender /running boards? Just trying to clarify. So I can try to list it as correctly as possable for sale. Thanks all for all the support!!! Awesome.
so here is the identity. A group has figured it out. First The cowl is 26 stude but from a touring car called the "big 6 sheriff" model The back half is a stude roadster half 1926 as well look at the pics and let me know what you all think.
