Actually I'd try Ammco to see if they have any; but, if I recall the early ones were supplied by The Carborendium Co. of Rochester N.Y.
AJ, I also have one of the Ammco grinders, I believe that Ammco has the paper for them. Somewhere in this mass of crap I have an address written down for the paper. I'll get off my rear and see if I can find it. Oh and I notice you own a 39 std. The first rod I built was a standard and I have a permanent soft spot for them. Could you please crate yours up and send it to me? Thanks in advance
I got some from a local woodworkers store that I adapted ,ya got to use 2 as they are only 3 inches tall. Also my local HD brake shop told me to give this outfit a call ,they get theirs there. Shepard-Thompson 714-773-5539
Here's a link to the Ammoco/Coats web site. I looked for the sandpaper you need but did not find it. Maybe you can contact them and find out if they still supply it. http://www.ammcoats.com/Default.aspx
I couldnt find any for mine a few months ago. Took the old paper off and contact cemented some new paper of the same grit on the drum. Let it set overnight and we have tons 5 -6 sets since then works great !!
I made a shoe grinder into a disc sander. I use 3-M stick it sandpaper. The adheasive holds good and the paper lasts a long time. Jeff
