punch one out to 4" with some 327 pistons and net a 266,throw in some lump ports, a 390 holley and a nice cam. That will get you going.
That sounds like a significant overbore, are you sure that wouldn't cut into any water p***ages, or threads ect? If I remember correctly, the stock bore is 3.875 inches ..I have one of these ****ers in a nova and would be delighted if if could be bored out
Yes they can be ,BUT you should have the block checked(sonic tested) before doing so. But 4in bore's are normaly for track use NOT street. Now a .030-.060 over with flat tops and a Nice cam & lump ported head will make for a Very Nice HOT Street/strip set-up. Been there done that Still doing it.
Buy a chevrolet inline six-cylinder power manual,,,it will tell you all you need to know and then some,,,,,
Hey twisted, nice to hear your still around. too bad we never got to lineup, im thinking my 64 might have spanked ya. maybe not, the best it ever ran was a 13.6 in street trim. have not been on the Inliners board for a long time now. Yep! them 250's come with .250 walls, no problem cutting out .125 if you get a block without core shift.
Well, you won't set land speed records with them without spending major money, but they wake up with a lot of the same mods as other motors.
Hey Sixguns Long time no chat. Well I am hoping to have this new motor in sometime soon.I have to finish up on my new headers and a few other miner things. Then I can get on getting it Back into The chevyII. I have already redone the ****** So that will be nice an fresh.
Not to hijack the thread, but what would be the best exhaust setup, sound wise for a fairly stock 250?
