    Hey guys....you GOT me!!!

I've been back for nearly 4 months now, and apart from catching up with friends and family and putting a 66 Benz Fintail back on the road, and doing the bodywork on the 72 F100 I picked up, and helping budz with their cars, and helping Ms Holly find and remove an engine to get her pink Coupe back on the road and......oh....and getting a JOB....I haven't done ****!

I wasnt at the island on the wekend...I was painting the cab and doors on the 72.

I haven't done ANYTHING with my 52 yet....its just sitting on its guts in the garage coated in black primer...You might call that 'oldskool'....I call it "not done yet"....but I'll get there!

Awesome photo's! Looks like everyone had a great time! Sun, water, hot rods... Boy am I envious!!

What type of car was the green car with the airbrushed "babes"?

looks like a great show, thanks for posting:D

  13. From what I can see it would have been a great run. With the small size of the traditional movement here in Oz I would think you would all be stoked at how this went?
But then again some Aussies on this board just like to be **** holes and cause trouble.
Hey Carps, was there a model contest?? Pic's??
    Doc.

Thanks for the great photos of some neat cars. It looks that everyone was enjoying a beautiful summer day on Phillip Island, which should be a near perfect location for a show, and then to have a drive around the track - fantastic.

i'm sure you'll have another excuse not to attend.
don't go calling us out when you didn't even go.

we all got **** to work on too, but they start with things like "model A" and "35 Ford"....maybe then we will be cool enough to try and have some fun at a show??
we took our daily drivers down and still had fun.
we must be doing something right if they all turned up in everyone's event coverage before you demanded to see them.

  16. Yup, I'll post some pics on the model car thread when it goes up.

Meanwhiles here's a few more big cars......

This should just about do it for now, although I do have another five hundred or so images. :D

    has anyone got pictures of:

    • the awesome black Panhead Bobber with black/red sportster tank and springer front end, it was parked up near the lake (if anyone knows the builder/owner PM me please)
    • the BSA and Harley bobber's from CRACKPOT FABRICATIONS (they were parked next to the Chopped magazine stall in the pits)
    • the blue EH wagon with spats and Venetian's (one of the nicest eh's i've ever seen)

the meter in my SLR farked up when i changed the battery from the dead 1.3V mercury to a new 1.5V alkaline so ALL of my photos were way overexposed and are totally un-usable.

    cheers

  20. Only got one of the Crackpot bikes

Wow....like this isn't inspiration to all to get mine all sweet!

    Attached Files:

  26. These shots make me suspect that this maybe the koolest run anywhere. I love the fact that it's inclusive- I dig good billet and a well sorted Pro street Torana needs lovin' too !
The mad flatty v-twin, E.H.'s, crazy 'Soto- real good. Commodore with lawn on it.. extremely good.
    See there's an art booth..
LoSoto- check out Friday Art Show thread in next few WEEKS.

P.S; What do O.S. Moparists think 'bout the lil' orange number shown above ?

p.p.s; Any older folks in s.w. Vic. remember a cool pair of custom F.J's ( one red, one blue ) from around Pt. Fairy/ Warnambool/ Portland area c.'69- 72 ? P.M. Please.

p.p.p.s- Is it only me who thinks it'd be so wild to see restored 70's customs at P.I.- things like the Phil Irons E.H, Wolfgang's XT, Bentley's Toad Prefect, Withers/ Dann E.K's etc. Like to see R.H drag out the Redback too. Dream ?- Get the place rockin' with a 'Satisfaction' cackle too...

Great photos , Thanks but maybe you should tell the guy that developed them he reversed a lot of the negatives cause the steering wheels are on the wrong side ?

Must have reversed them huh

Aussies rock. Great photos and looks like everyone had a great time. Loved the blonde in the 40 Ford coupe. Will trade a ugly three window Larry for her.

  29. It would be cool, but sadly most haven't survived. There was talk a while ago on the location of the Withers/Dann EK and it wasn't sounding good. My old man new Steve Dann so I grew up getting to ride around in a couple of his cars. But really only remember his yellow 57 chev.
