I too scored a 17. Definitely a neat deal, but they could make it a bit more difficult by doing some vintage 4 and 6 cylinder engines. Actually, pics of smaller parts like trim, or body parts would be fun too.
Missed two damn multiple choice just when ya think they won't repeat... Quick how many were in ford cars? 9 .....8 in hot rod fords caddy was in a chev?
I got 16/17. I missed the early Olds question. And, I admit to guessing between the 348 and 409 and got it right. I would've never known the dipstick thing. I knew all the Mopar engines. I also knew the Chevy engines for the most part and a few were easy to ID (like the nailhead). That allowed me to get a lot of the answers by eliminating all of the choices but the correct one.
17 out of 17: click to enlarge ... but I'll admit that I took a similar quiz back in May of 2008 and got 17 out of 18 ... checkout the "See what you know............" thread (just click HERE) ... Note that the American Torque website quiz was slightly different back then.
17-17. however, doing what I do for a living, I had BETTER be able to identify some old motors. and Yeah...The poncho was deceptive.
16 of 17 here. Missed the 340 Mopar .. Shit !! For some it was a matter of what they weren't more than what they were. The 348/409 thing was simple. They had already asked the 409, didn't make sense they'd have it again. Hell the Y-block had T-bird valve covers on it and nothing else looks like a Y-block.
