B*** Kustom. Downtown Dallas...One man shop. I've been in the present location going on 5 years now. I mostly do customer work for both local and not so local customers, but I occasionally get to slip one of my own projects into the schedule. I do literally everything but machinework and upholstery, but I've been planning on taking that up too...I already have a nice industrial Juki sewing machine. For most machinework I work closely with Bob Wilson of Wilson Welding, and I have a couple other guys that I trust for engine machinework/balancing. I spend most of my time doing fab. work/ welding these days, but I do get to paint every now and then...current customer projects in the shop include two Model A coupes, a '51 Chevy Custom, and I also have my own '29 Roadster and '49 Panhead projects. My shop is in the Deep Ellum/ Fair Park area of Downtown Dallas.
HR Cl***ic Cars, Wylie, TX Was a lot bigger before, but now It's just me and a part time guy. Most of the stuff we do is '60s and '70s, full restorations and partial projects. Don't do machine work or paint and body in house. There are many other shops around then what is being posted here.
Depends what you are thinking ? ..No, I run into people all the time asking me where to get things done around here locally and I'm just curious to know who does what and want to point work to them when I am able to Lately seems like allot of people have moved to DFW area for work and need help with some projects
True, like Body by Roger in Burleson, TX. Roger Holcomb has had his shop open since the 70s. He does paint, body, sand blasting, no interior work. Full restorations (lots of model A work), old school customs, muscles cars, ya name it, he does it

Just checkin in on ya dad to make sure you didn't lose your mind. Problem is actually who do you go to? Some damn fine craftsmen/women in these parts. Local Secret Info For Your Files: (I do know where you go for work from a nearly famous semi-retired daredevil Mexican though. Sadly his barnstorming and life of danger career was cut short due to limitations of a 50cc motorcycle not being able to actually jump anything of real significance whilst wearing a sombrero. Sad really.) Very reclusive since retirement.
Been by B*** Kustoms once, didnt know me from Adam, was very friendly and willing to let me check out some of his work, really cool guy, and incredible skills.
Well normally I would not do that to protect the innocent but since you dropped the gloves I must defend honor...

Moved here a year ago after retiring from the Army. Opened the shop in June and have had four customers. Actually one was a full ch***is for a 8.50 drag car so it's not as bad as it sounds. I am a one man fab shop. I got my start in this stuff years ago when I worked for Frame Works Racing out in Phoenix. Built a lot of famous peoples cars while working there. After I joined the Army, I kept building cars, trucks and choppers on the side. While building race ch***is' is where most of my business seems to be, I do just about anything on the fabrication side. I might not be as friendly as some of the others in the area but I am very honest and do extremely nice work. I work by appointment only but any HAMBers want to come by and check out the shop, just give me a call. (940) 482-6558.
