Hold on to your hats, folks. This is gonna get silly!!! Can't wait to see the final product. Zombie's art is killer, so if you follow it pretty closely like you said, should be top notch. I'll be watching this one. Very slick!!!

One of these axles is a chrome drilled I-Beam, the other, a drilled Alum-I-Beam. Both are Superbell. You tell me which is which, without looking at the phototag

We already built it. We just can't find time to finish it!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Tommy is super stoked. And Zombie rules.

    Awesome sedan!

One thing I noticed though - the A/G in the window would dictate the car have fenders, no? I believe that would actually be an Altered.

    Bitchin ride fellas

You'd have to ask Zombie on that one, I hadn't even looked at that. Those are the stickers we're going to use though! :)

thanks for the compliments fellars, but i just drew what kevin had in his head. the entire car was kevins design. i helped out with the grill shell and thats pretty much it. kevin sent me samples of the stickers he wanted in the window, as well as the class designation. i think its a super cool car, and am anxious to see it make a pass.

I got the door and window bars, eyebrow and some of the funny car cage in today. I'll post photographs in a while or the morning.

Zombie, I couldn't build it without the customer being able to see it first man. You're a ruler.

That car is going to be KILLER. are you going to fill in the roof like the drawing, if so what are you planning to use to fill it in, it looks possibly a truck bed floor, or will it be custom tin. Either way killer.

Here are the shots of the funny car cage. I've got the rear helmet bars in, and two of the three shoulder bars, as well as the eyebrow and door/window bars.

  19. Shit kevin, I saw psyco' at holliday sauree and thought you had picked my brain for the round tube frame idea. Damn! I just wish I had the means to bring my vision to life before tommy did. It sucks to be poor!Lol . As always, killer fab work, and cant wait to see the finished product.

It's soooo cool to see a drawing come to life. That's my favorite part of going to Dan Webb's shop. Craftsmanship at it's highest degree. I hope I get to see this one in person.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll be posting some more photographs today if I can get the computer at work to accept my data card. I'm about ready to finish the funny car cage portion and move on to the front frame rails. Need to get the pedals in too. TIGHT SQUEEZE with those.

So I've gotten the front frame rails done, still having trouble with getting my computer to recognize my data card. I'll post more photographs as soon as I can.

Man, that thing is going to tear up the strip! Can't wait for a YouTube video of it blowing someone's doors off!

  28. That's going to look out of sight man, why the funny car style cage.....customer wants ?

  29. I noticed in the cage pics, the driver bars coming down towards the floor end in a dead node... is this not a concern for NHRA???? I've done most of my tube work for Jeeps/buggies/etc and we always do everything we can to have a tube continue on the otherside of the tube it intersects. Sorry to nitpic, just a safety issue we always watch for.

Looks badass, gonna be a fun one to see!
