  2. Well got the upper bag mounts welded in as well as all the four link mounts on the frame and axle. Mounted bags for final fitment and rechecked for binding. all is good, i need to notch for the driveshaft and gusset the front of the bag mounts and mount the shocks and that part will be done... Then its on to the front and the mounting of the tank and compressor, then wiring & plumbing....

Anyways enough rambling heres the pics from this last weekend...

looks great man. Nice details. Are you putting a bed floor in or leaving it open to show the work?

punk i was just about to ask the same thing, it must be a plasma because those are some nice pieces..

  11. Looking really good man. Those Pilothouse trucks rule. They especially look good when the rear fenders are cleaned up or swapped with 55+ Chevy fenders. My friend has a 5W Pickup he's been tinkering with. It's on an S-10 Ch***is and channelled slightly.

  12. Thanks guys, but no plasma here...the gussets i cut at work with a torch, and the 4link bars were cut with a chop saw and fitted with a 4.5 angle grinder. The notches were also cut with a chop saw.

  13. Well finally i have some progress to show!

I got the front end all ***embled (no pictures of that sorry)

I also got the rear shock mounts made...I made the gusset out of two 3/4 in wrenches. Everything is welded and i got the tank and compressor mounted and wired, and the frame painted. All i have left is to run the air lines and gauge lines and mount the gauges. And then its on to raising the bed floor/making a new floor.

    here are the pictures...........

Nice looking work. I would recommend very highly that you install a rod end on the rearend mount for your wishbone. If not, when the suspension moves at a different rate side to side, meaning one wheel higher than the other, the wishbone will be in a bind or rip the brackets off of your housing.

    Cool truck, I like it.

The people who live behind me have a '53 thats been parked for 20 plus years. They know I want it.I ask about it 2 or 3 times a year. They say I'll be the first to know when they are ready to let it go. This just makes me want it more...

i cant believe it took 3 pages for someone to notice that.

  25. There poly bushings the have some flex to them, and lot of people have used them on air suspension systems without problems.
