I have a 1962 Chevy C-10 with a 235-6 it came with a 3 speend manual... i recently bought a 4 speed manual out of a 64 Chevy C-10 with a 250-6... the ****** didnt come with the old clutch, or anything off of it.... does anyone know what clutch i need to put this all together? Would it be easier to put a clutch for the 3 speed back in and reuse the 3 speed bellhousing? Or should I use the 4 speed bell housing and buy a pressure plate, throwout bearing and clutch fork.. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

if you use the 250, don't do like I did and keep looking for a 9 1/8" clutch - even though it's stock and all the parts books say its correct, all the 9 1/8 inchers have been discontinued in favor of the 10-inchers, which bolt up just fine once you surface the flywheel. as for the ****** itself, i'm not sure whether the three-speed would work. i know the bellhousing isnt the same from 235 to 250, but you didnt say what bellhousing you'd be using. dan
i cant get the 250, he wants to keep it for his other truck his building... if its possiable i want to put the 4 speed ****** with the 3 speed bell housing... but the 3 speed is still in the truck so i dont know if it will bolt up...
Yes it will, the only thing is you will have to use a nut and bolt on the bottom two mounting holes on the 4-speed. The three speed bolts in from the inside of the bell housing and has threaded holes on the bottom 2 holes.-MIKE
