i've used them for years.i've had some go bad.but that is the same now-a-days with most others. treat them right they'll do the job.
Its mostly offshore, but its definately better then Harbor Freight, probably OK for air tools, but for welders and torches you are far better off going with a good quality brand, you will thank yourself later for spending a little extra up front. You can usually find some good deals on used name brand equipment that you will be happier with.
It is not the same C-H we knew from the past. Now they have the cheaper hardware store level and their higher end level. Unless you are buying an expensive CH compressor it is probably import stuff.
I have had one of thier compressers for about 15 years no problems as of yet. Next time around however ;I will get another brand.
Don't shy away from them if you have a good reason to shop where they're sold, (cost/availability) but don't steer towards them deliberately. They have several "duty" lines and you get what you pay for. Get a heavier duty tool and it'll probably do the job for a long time. The name brands however will have better balance and ergos. C-H tends to be kinda clunky and old school.
