Event Coverage 2009 Kustom National Australia photos.

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by flatoz, Jan 11, 2009.

  1. I believe Steve's EK was destroyed after he sold it, but only a rumour. I thought the same thing of my FJ, but it was on blocks in a shed for 25 years.

Daryl's EK is unchanged from the last time it was seen in public, albeit a little dusty. It's parked in the back of his garage.

We'd love to see some old stuff like this at the Kustom Nats, so if you know where it is, please encoyrage the folks who own it to drag it out and bring it down.

Thank everyone for the pics, yeah some stuff wasn't to my liking and I couldnt be f*cked taking a car but still had a good time (Going to the Island is like going to work no matter what you drive). Kudos to John Carps and the Boys who put this on for us to enjoy, and if ya dont dont like it put on something better or blow it out your ar*e, personally I and a lot of others are getting tired of all the **** that goes with this hobby in Australia, stop whinging about who has guards and that's a street machine and get with the fact we're all people who play with cars and have different tastes.

    Insert *****ing here!

    Wicked photo's,Wicked cars
Wish we had an event like it in NSW!
How early do you need to book accomodation for next year?
    Any recomendations?
Any one from Newcastle/Central Coast go down each year?
I went to the ballarat swap a couple of times and stayed at cowes while in mexico -what a beautiful part of the world!
Is there any events around the same time to make a holiday out of it(say within two weeks?)

Is it kid friendly?( 5 and 2 year old)

    Thanks

  4. Thanx Jason, couldn't have said it better myself although I was MIA during most of the plannning phase, as I'm sure you know.

Now would be a good time to start.
Nope, there's so many options and pretty much everything on the Island is good.
Quite possible, we even had a bussload of rodders arrive from rmidale this year.
They wer talking about bringing thier cars for '10.
Oldest and best Indoor Hot Rod & Custom show in the nation is on Australia Day weekend, The VHRA Show at the World Heritage Listed, Exhibition Buildings in Melbourne.

Chopper tends to scare the kids but otherwise all is great, we allow them to have the track to themselves for cruising mini rods and custom pushies without interference from the big kids and their big cars a couple of times during the event. And of course there's even trophies for best mini rod and best custom pushie.
