Well last year while I was in Cali. on an extended job project, I took a look at a 1931 Ford coupe. The car was totaly stock and 100% complete, and
was also rust free. It had some spots where paint was chipped and a few
"surface rust" spots [is there realy such a thing?"] where the metal was exsposed. The roof fabric was shot and there are no rubber covers on the
running boards. the interior is good and the doors and windows work as they should. the motor runs, but I couldnot tell much by how it sounds.
Anyway the owner wanted 9500 for the car. Not knowing much about stock Model A's I hesitated and missed the car. The owner and I be came
friends and kept in touch. Today he called me and said the guy who purchased the car had decided to sell it because of other interests. The odd part is my buddy was willing to help me as a third pary If I was again
intrested in the car .What he did not know was that I recently returned to the area , [from New Orleans] to work another project. He gave me the
number and I went and bought the car on the spot. now I have to figure
the best way to get it home! My question to my fellow hambers is do you
think 8000 was a reasonable price for this car? Rust free cars are rare in
my area and I allways wanted a nice California car. This figured in my decision to buy it. I realy did not need another project because I am already well into a 32 three window effort to the tune of many dollars. I
do like having a 31 and a 32, I must admit. I can rent a trailer for around
900 dollars one way, maybe buy a trailer out here, or have the car shipped for a yet to be determined amount when I can get some photos
I will post them. what do you guys think?

You don't have a friend in Louisiana that has a trailer? $900 will go along way in buying a trailer.
    Good Luck.

i don't know if you have a truck out there or not,but either way i have heard of people buying a trailer using it to get your car home, then sell it when you get home.you may lose a couple hundred dollars, but just a thought.good luck.

Mickey, How you doing..You need to stop by the shop again... I see car trailers for about 1100.00 all the time locally..I might even find ya one cheaper with a little time..I could store the model A for you for a little bit if needed.. ... OR you could just bring out that 32 body you have and I will trade you my trailer....just kidding... I just picked up a 31 model A..It is all stock and rust free...Jason

Be careful about buying a trailer. Once you have one, you will be amazed at all of the stuff that ends up following you home. :D

No bondo to be seen. Where the paint is chipped off is metal underneath.....a little tiny but o rust in lower cowl on one side... Jason.
